Yeah, pretty much nailed it. Probably the smartest member, evenflow, barely even bothers. Paladin and a couple other more sporadic posters carry the banner stoically but, mostly, seemingly perfunctorily. I stopped bothering like five years ago after over 5 years of fruitless more civilized search for a good argument from the left (I still tried about a dozen times following the subprime crisis). With the pair of drones Dayton and his left-mirror wordin, and then Castle and the other "writers" posting amazing volume of words correlated in direct inverse proportion to their content, it seems all the most prolific wordforgetypists have the least to say. The left wing circle jerk WF's devolved to is now generally uninteresting and not especially entertaining or amusing. Hard to sustain self on Oldfella clever quips, neonmosfet particular style and the 'return' of itinerent posters like shoes quest or prufrock; mostly gone are posts by the fascient, Ramen or the 'boose.

And almost absolute zero of unique thoughts or comments worth checking in for. [Speaking of unique, ecky's back, but where's hood?]

I'm not sure precisely what Volpone's complaint is. He doesn't like the politics of the people who own the board? What specifically is wrong with the way they're running it?

I mean, unless they go apeshit with changes or rules or whatever--which no one really ever does--what impact is there?
