    The point is, we have a chance to actively shape the tenor of the conversation here. If the place is tilting too far left, we need more right-wing posters, not fewer. But if all we could scrape up were pussies who need to be in the majority, and run away in tears when their opinions are challenged, I'd say forget it.

    Yeah, it's interesting to me that the lefty/moderates were able to mostly hang in as the minority viewpoint all those years and still be here, but as soon as whineforge is in the minority, they run off or occasionally show up to whine.

    The interesting thing is years ago the claim always was it was righties ruining the board and everything would be so different and sooo much better if they just disappeared. Reality seems to be that everything is just the same except the style of insults and trolling is somewhat different. It's interesting to watch, really.

    You are making the correlation/causation error. There was a ganging-up to bully thing going on in those years. The bullies happened to be conservatives. Nobody ever had a problem with conservative voices. If that's what you got from the rep wars then you really never understood what was happening.

    I'm talking about comments that were made right from the beginning, often before rep even existed. There is little doubt what rep wars were...it was obvious when any group participated in it.

    Also, the general sentiment is one both sides seemed to imply...and the truth is not much really changes when either side is the "majority". Much like real-life politics!
