I don't know about his family (as he lectures them about respect), but I'm pretty sure he gets challenged quite often by people who know him.
To be honest I think that in real life he is a complete nobody, total wallflower which is why he is so desperate for attention ANY attention online. Also why he loves derailing threads. He actually DID something.
I see it didn't take long from dropping don't ask don't tell for the navy to come screaming out of the closset.
I must challenge that gul. What evidence do you have that I've lectured my wife or daughter about respect? IIRC, the only thing I've referenced lecturing my wife about was avoiding hazardous situations.. Just out of curiousity, why start a thread regarding something that I have never claimed?
Not by acquaintances to speak of. Students naturally but I encourage academic freedom and higher order thinking questions. Sorry to the latter, but I didn't mean to reference you specifically.
Forgive me but when people here are piling on me (and someone else now and then) and it all becomes one big mashup of posts, I have lots of trouble remembering who posted what without rereading the whole thing which I rarely do.
I've played, Freespace, Star Wars: Xwing series and wing commander games. I also play a lot of paradox games so I have more experience that way too.
I don't know if I'm disturbed or amused that I now find myself checking to see if Dayton3 or NotDayton is making the posts.
I am not stupid by any standard. Though perhaps I am in that I once thought a willingness to be honest and up front on the internet would be respected by other posters rather than being used as a prop for endless and mindless personal attacks. Is "baba" the one with a thing about submarines and orbital conveyor belts?
Y'know, I realize "Kick Dayton" is pretty much the official sport around here, and I also realize about half the people in this thread don't really mean anything by it. But I've noticed that if a thread goes on long enough, despite coming from very different backgrounds and world views, Dayton and I can usually end up agreeing on most of the basic principles being debated. IMO, the willingness to engage in that kind of give-and-take discussion is pretty refreshing in our "pick a side and dig in" world.
Never got into that game. Stratego on the other hand..... So was I. Four years in the U.S Marine Corps as a field radio operator and honorably discharged. Also...........Thank you for your service.
I got a quote on auto insurance from USAA but they couldn't beat Geico. It varies from person-to-person. Most people come out cheaper with USAA on pretty much everything.
One of my uncles was an aide to a guy by the name of General Douglas MacArthur, my dad was a corpsman in the Korean War, and I've dated (IYKWIMAITYD) the daughter of a Marine. I've also made parts for SAWs, and various other pieces of military hardware.
See, now you've exposed yourself: You usually type this kind of thing when you're logged in as Castle.
