Oil prices surged to 105 dollars a barrel, highest in five months. Triple A reports that U.S. average gasoline prices are now up 18 cents a gallon from a month ago. Most of it a "fear premium" regarding the Russian/Ukrainian situation.
What happened to you Garamet? You used to be pretty enthusiastic about debating issues. Actually participating in discussions. Now you do nothing but make snide comments about other posters. Growing frustration as you've gotten "older"?
Wheat was up like a rocket today, locally natural gas production had shutdown due to low prices. IOW, Daddy's about to be back in the frack water biz. Very proud of my Russian heritage at the moment.
Gas went up about 15 cents or so around two weeks ago here, and today it's 4 cents lower than it was yesterday.
I'm always interested in debating issues with anyone who at least understands the rudiments of the topic.
As determined by...you? I'm curious Garamet. Just what background do you have in commodities trading? At least I've taught economics.
As determined by the fact that you don't understand the impact of speculation on commodities prices. Is that like I Am Curious Yellow? I've worked in the investment sector. And I understand the impact of speculation on commodities prices. And yet you don't you don't understand the impact of speculation on commodities prices.
I'm completely familiar with speculation in commodities Garamet. That doesn't change the fact that unrest drives up those commodities prices.
So you're saying I'm an idiot because I quoted your words. The very words you used to claim how someone can become become an expert on something. You'd have to work hard to move up to "idiot". And you've proven that when confronted with something you can't argue against you resort to name calling and personal insults. The very same thing you say that when done to you, the person doing so is intellectually bankrupt.
Not seeing "Commodities Garamet" on the Dow or the NASDAQ. Are you sure it's gone public? "Great Scott, I think he's got it!"...finally and after much prompting.
So you are acknowledging the role the current conflict in Ukraine has on oil and gas prices? Why are we even talking then?
No, I'm acknowledging the role that speculation has on oil and gas prices. So I can keep mocking your failure to understand correct comma placement.
Also, summer is right around the corner, which usually sees increases to gas prices. But keep on with the war hard-on and
I've made my "response to Russia" suggestions in another thread. None of those suggestions involved provocative military action.
Wow, when you have someone on ignore with the new software, it doesn't even show up that they HAVE posted! Kewl!
So it's gotten to the point where Dayton cay say that water is wet and he still gets cock punched because he's Dayton?
