OK, I am a newb, so how do things work around here?

Before anyone says anything, I am new to this board, not the internet so I am asking because there seems to be a confusing power struggle drama type thing going on about the administration of this board, and it is not the norm I run into all the time. I have been away from a good connection in the past month due to traveling and the fact I do not check up as much when occupied in real world activities, and this month has been a hell of a blast. Still, as a person who does plan on being a part of the discussion for the time until I get banned (Inevitable conclusion), and the fact that a lot of the drama is leaking out from the owner administrator area, I am wondering if this place is going to fall or radically change because of what is going on in the background.

Not that I have much influence on it, but if you are going to leak that much it would help those who contribute to know what they are contributing to since it seems the rules might be a bit loose. Perhaps some users might be able to contribute to some financial stability making things better for the board to have some more solid grounding.

I am a chaos junkie and there is a lot of chaos around. There is a need for stability to attract some decent long term contributing posters. I am not full of shit when I say I have seen a bunch of places and can offer up some advice. And yes that does mean I am interested in this place and plan on sticking around.

Yes, no, and I do not care because I truly must love how my words look in an argument to your point.

It is just something that happens to me. I often fall afoul of some administrator's cock and then I go. Some places have taken to scrub my presence from their boards. I am not full of myself because of me, I am full of myself because of others reactions to me. It never fails. The banning is coming. I am a bit surprised it has not come yet which is why I am here.

You will not run afoul of the administrators' cocks here, as they are all my little pony fans.

Okay, let's try to sort this out-- this is just as good a place as any, I suppose.

First, the inevitable banning meme, not likely. There have been a few bannings over the 11 year history of this board, but it's very rare. We encourage a wide variation of views, posting styles (you aren't the only one with many words), etc. I can't give you an explicit recipe for achieving a ban, but what I've seen of you so far, tells me it won't happen.

Second, regarding the power struggle. It was fake. Over the past year, the board has been co-owned by @Ancalagon, @evenflow, @Tex, and myself. Ancalagon, has, for his own reasons, decided to relinquish ownership, handing off his share to @shootER. That's the only actual change that has occurred, and it is one that all owners agreed with.

Now those last two sentences, those constitute the big news. The rest of what you've seen over the past few days was a few different independent but perfectly timed troll attempts that suggested there might be turmoil. We decided to run with it for a bit, mostly because @The Flashlight is a moron.

Also, @Tererun: if you plan to make this a long term hang-out, that's great, you are more than welcome to kick the mud off your boots and take a seat at the bar.

And while we're at it: Though you're free to post in any style you like, your posts, and paragraphs, and especially sentences do tend to run on. Conciseness would get you more readers, and more and better responses.

While you come off as an annoying git, most people here have far more irritation with both Dayton and garamet...neither of whom have been banned.
