There are a few rules of trolling that you violate, not to mention some realities which you ignore that you really need to get a handle on.

There is a reality to being a troll, and that is you are going to get banned. If that reality bugs you cool down and shut the fuck up. There is no admin in the world that is going to put up with worthless and abusive forever. You are worthless, so stop being abusive.

Also, stop making friends and trying to be a hero. You are not one. No one is going to care when you are gone. You are not fighting the good fight, nor do places care about whether or not you were treated fairly. The reality is the majority of people know why people like you get banned, and that they are nowhere near your level of asshattery. One of the most important rules of trolldom is not to get caught up in your own press. You are a user, and they are the owners. When the banhammer comes it is your choice to take it beyond the board. Your problem is you are not a good enough troll to actually do much beyond getting banned. Life will go on here once you are gone and that you are only a little turd and you want to be the big POS that clogs up the toilet on your way out. You just simply are not the big bad you tell yourself you are, nor will you ever be. Even when you are that big bad troll that can cause problems from the outside, life still goes on most of the time. About the only thing you end up doing is changing the threshold of banning on a board.

This was your choice for behavior, and you seem aware of your methods, so quit your bitching about getting what you want. You are a professional victim just like your heroes on the right, but no one cares. That is because no one cares about victims. Just become the stat you were meant to be and quit your whining. If you want something different than do it the hard way. Be a nice guy and contribute good things. At least that way someone might complain when you get banned. It won't mean anything, but you might get some friends or people who care enough to cough up a meaningless virtual hug. It is the internet, and everyone loves to kick a crying troll.

You got called on all of your bluffs, and you have nothing in your hand. Your reader is not going to come and defend you. Your wits will not protect you. Your whining will not save you when it comes. In the end how important is it? I am not worried that you can very quickly go to some other place and have the same level of hate as you got here. If you really want to be more famous the chans are over there. Go see how well you do against those half asses. Maybe you will become something bigger, but you will probably just be one of the masses of village idiots who thought they were something. If you do get banned I will see you out there. If not enjoy your leash.

 

Anyway, that's all completely incidental to a member of staff issuing threats to one poster, completely incidentally to the rules.

As has been noted, this is a privately owned board, so there's no lawyerball going on here. But how you behave toward posters determines how you will be seen dealing with individual posters. You want to bitch that I drive off traffic? Look at how you treat some posters but not others. Look at the double standards you speak right up and advertise. Go ahead and tell me that your entrenched double standards don't discourage lurkers from joining.

The point is, everybody is responsible for how this board is perceived. Yeah, that includes me. It also includes you.

So shut the fuck up with your "it's all Castle's fault!" bullshit. It's been, past tense, partially my fault. It's also been your fault. And if I change my patterns and you don't? It is then only your fault.

Of course, there are some here who will never, ever own up to their part in it; Gul, Liet, Dinner, et cetera. They will never take responsibility for their own parts in this feud, and they will never take responsibility for driving anybody off the board in their selfish, short-sighten pursuit of a childish vendetta against me.

They should, but they fucking won't.

 

So, now that you are back to the profanity, the generally violent tone, the bold and italics, is this still part of the experiment? Or does it indicate that you really can't post any other way for any extended period?

 

If you finished that novella and charged $4.99 for that, you might make some money.

But no one is going to invest $2.99 for basically an extended chapter.

Af far as the rest goes, being a routine douchebag certainly doesn't endear yourself to the audience here. You seem to think you need validation among this crowd, or make them pay if you can't get it. Both outlooks are relatively immature. Post less, write more, and if you want friendships online, look at yourself very closely for the reactions you create. Especially if there's a persona, and a real person, and you don't think they are the same, because most people here think the real person is a douche. And that's no one's fault but your own.

Lots of people post here to be able to lash out at frustrations in real life. And most people here laugh that off, as part of the game. But if that's the majority of what you do, everyone else will realize it and then you can't just wipe it away and say aw shucks.

 

As far as constructive criticism on the plot goes, I'd look at the remorse angle a bit - if you do mean the protagonist to be the monster then it weakens the validation of the story construct if he shows a lot of remorse. You might want to show how destructive the guy is by have him randomly lash out at strangers that don't deserve it because of his self-loathing and anger. The guy sounds fairly grounded at the beginning. Having his internal dialogue running might be the wrong voice for this concept - hard to build suspense about his own motives and action in that regard, and with the 'feeding on the remorse of a monster' angle you have going on its a lot better to show than to tell, to keep the audience's interest up in whether the guy truly deserves what happens to him.

And of course, if he shows remorse for an accidental killing, you aren't really telling that story. You are telling the story of the innate falibility of man, and the monster is still the Lovecraftian hotel for preying on people who are humane enough to show remorse on their actions. There's a lot you could say on that idea. Indeed, you could do a reverse fantasy island - a hotel that seems to offer succor for those that are showing remorse, when in fact they are being judged for their actions. Tons of possibilities there - for a writer who is adept at understanding the human condition.

You almost have a point here. First, most people catch onto you pretty quick. You are a prolific ass. So am I, so do not get insulted. This means that lurkers and newbies know why you are getting banned, and if they take a cursory glance and see you getting blasted and assume that this place is not for them, they are probably right. The red room is probably not the best place to look, but in reality the timid are probably better off on a more heavily moderated board anyway. Yes, certain of the admin staff are openly abusive, and public about it here. I will agree that probably confuses some people as other boards often mock and then kick those they disagree with. Seriously, I do have to say that admins here have taken a lot of heat and are not prone to bans just for insults from what I have seen. I have seen a lot of places, and a lot of sensitive mods. I got permad on one of my other boards for a PMed apology to a mod who I was wasting in their flame area. They stuck to their rules, but 1 PM was considered harassment because he wanted me gone. Either that or he has some serious mental problems and PMs scared him.

This board is rough here in the red room. I would not recommend a squeemish or shy person come in here. I have not used the other places well enough to know how the moderation works there. But if they were going to make it more appealing towards weaker users you would be permad anyway because you are a gigantic asshole.
