Hush, now. Gunforge needs to gather more details so it can haul out the "mental health issue" screed, spend six pages arguing that the weapon used was "not an assault rifle," and another three pages arguing about the right kind of grip/scope for the aforementioned "not-an-assault-rifle." In between there'll be a sidebar on how stupid it is not to allow military personnel to carry on post because, well, that would have prevented this before it started.
^Don't we need four pages of Rick Deckard and El Chup talking about how great gun control is because it works in an obscure European backwater with 800 square miles in size and a population of 400,000?
Garamet would rather make this thread about her and her obsession with the 3 people of Gunforge. I mean she just jumps right into it, not asking for details, not showing any sympathy for the victims (maybe because they're military), just GUNFORGE. What a sad old bitch.
So who was the first person to IMMEDIATELY use this to try to score points against her political opponents?
That you have nothing to say about the topic or you're just vamping until some Talking Head uses the term "assault rifle"? Or that I should run away and cry because two Internet Anonyms can't address what I say, so they pull the "ur a old hag" routine in tandem?
LOL. I'm quite immune to your tactics. You've shown your colors in your first post, nothing else need be said to you. Although I should type your next reply in notepad and screenshot it with a time stamp so I can post it after you give your predictable response.
So, it turns out it was a proud Southerner intent on freeing the Tennessee from the yoke of Yankee occupation, some local redneck named Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez (that clan goes way back in the Smokey Mountains), who was an irate NRA member incensed that the recruiting center was a gun free zone.
Looks like it was an ISIS attack - an affiliated account tweeted about the attack a few minutes before it happened.
But ISIS is the JV team. We've got the terrorists on the run. They're unable to launch attacks against us.
They do significantly less damage than we do to ourselves since for the last 14 years. Sad, but hey, we are supposed to be OK with this, right? Just part and parcel of the freedom we have to defend our homes.
There is no ISIS organizatoin here. There's random guy X they talk into doing something stupid, or volunteers to do so because he is a nut job and doesn't even have any contact with them. So dickhead has to go through channels to get a gun just like anybody else. Its not like previous terrorist organizations like AQ told potential terrorists they could make these attacks by themselves because weapons are so easy to get here. Oh, that's right, that's EXACTLY what they told them: http://www.cnn.com/2013/04/11/politics/al-qaeda-video/index.html Al Qaeda video resurfaces claiming how easy it is to buy guns in U.S. "America is absolutely awash with easily obtainable firearms," said Gadahn, "You can go down to a gun show at the local convention center and come away with a fully automatic assault rifle, without a background check, and most likely without having to show an identification card. So what are you waiting for?
Well, first off it looks like there would not have been any time for a response as it seems the gunman got them by surprise. even if they had guns they would have been at rest and it would not have helped them in such an ambush. Second off, it looks like domestic terrorism, but they were targeting the military. The dude could have shot up a church like christian terrorist roof did. These guys did hit the military who is at war with them. Not that we want to be caught in the crossfire, but isn't it a bit stupid to think that the people you are at war with are going to be polite and not shoot back? It is almost like the us warmongering crowd thinks that ISIS should be thanking us for killing them. This is a very small tiny little bit of what war is on your homeland. Really you should count your blessings you are on this side of the war because 4 dead military guys in a shopping center is probably a slow day in many places in the middle east.
So a fucking rag head is again responsible and garhag hasn't returned Typical. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Damn, is it down to just three? There has to be more than that. Is there an up to date membership list available?
So far in this thread, I count Archangel, gturner, and Paladin. OMG, what happened to Gunforge? We've lost the others? No Elwood, no Oldfella, no Ramen? Well, at least it also means no Federal Dumbass.
A classmate of the shooter says he was very well liked and from a nice family from Kuwait. And that's the problem. Any Sunni Muslim could become an ISIS terrorist at any moment, and ISIS brags that they can ship guns and fighters across our southern border, so all Americans needs to stay armed at all times.
I'm honestly surprised this doesn't happen even more, because here's the Catch-22: the military are highly prized targets for the extremists. Killing the cream of the crop of The Great Satan, the evil warmongers in their own country is like a grand-slam home run for them! The shooter will have virgins out the wazoo in paradise. Allah himself will high-five him! HOWEVER the military is a soft target and everyone knows it. We can't send out the wrong message to the civilians! Half the parents already shit kittens when their little babies get yelled at - having them see military members with weapons would really blow their minds. So despite the (false) idea that guns are so available to the bad guys in the US, the real problem is not everyone is able to carry guns despite being a major target in a very vulnerable position/location. I'm not really blaming ISIS or any terror group - they hate us and want us dead, so it's their job to choose soft targets. I am pointing the finger of blame in one direction - at the shooter. Of course he's dead, but still he is to blame.
I honestly don't care what kind of weapon the shooter used or what people want to call it. Most people can't tell a BB gun pistol from a buffalo rifle anyway. A terrorist had a gun(s) and went ape-shit and several proud honorable young men serving their country are now dead as a result.
