First Presidential debate thread

As if Trump would ever turn down a dollar himself.

Trump turns down lots of dollars. He didn't even raise money through most of the primaries. He just funded himself.

Trump pays himself, through his businesses and his family, a large share of his campaign spending. He charges his campaign more than he charges his regular tenements. Trump is so greedy he's even fucking the people trying to elect him president.

Trump is like Dwight on the office.

Clinton was poised and presidential, and took few, if any risks. She let Trump dance around and make an ass of himself, as we all expect he would. The only question is, will voters care?

He may as well have not been there. He did a terrible job.

Word from inside the debate hall is Melania just left with Bill Clinton.

So dayton, how many weekends have you spent in a room "practicing to be President?"

She looked like she was on drugs with that misplaced grin on her face half the time. People noticed.

I do agree her grinning was a bit excessive.

SHe handled her trump like a Senior ADA would.

She has to force it. She has bitchy resting face.

that's the whole double standard - press says for weeks, including tonight before the event "she should smile more" (which has a sort of sexist undertone anyway, that's never said of male candidates)...when she smiles, same folks say "the smile looked forced" or "she smiled too much"

Anyone paying any attention knows that phone polling is vastly more credible than "click here to make a choice" polling.

also, every focus group, including the guy who does it for Fox News, went overwhelmingly for Clinton

Even if polls only accept one vote from each ip address, unless they are massive polls they have a high susceptibility to manipulation by being linked to from sites that heavily favor one view.

Time's poll says Trump won 58% to 42%.

CBS's poll says he won 76% to 24%.

These samples are beyond massive. I'm talking mainstream, liberal outlets like CNBC, CBS, TIME mag, etc. After all, this event was due to get higher ratings than the SuperBowl.

I think the voters are actually sick of the corrupt establishment neocon/dem system. Trump destroyed the neocons. He can take down the regressive Left. No more Bush/Clinton.

Trumpets are pretty dumb to be brigading polls (and they definitely are doing so). It'll only encourage people to vote for Clinton instead of for 3rd parties.
