But you were talking to John. I could be wrong, but I don't personally recall anybody here arguing that Romney was the kind of person we say that Trump is. In fact, I don't recall that argument made by anybody anywhere. Trump is uniquely unqualified among any recent major party candidates.
Uh, no. Last election the left kept saying Romney was an extreme racist and one of the worst sexists to ever run for President. He had binders full of women. Binders.
At the 20-minute mark of the episode entitled "Cork it With Cadaver Bone" a friend of the sound guy who mic'd Trump calls bullshit on Trump's claims.
Post-debate polls just keep getting worse and worse for Trump. 538's Now Cast just flipped Arizona. Polls Only has flipped Iowa. Ohio on knife edge of Polls Plus. Trump better kill it at the next debate. If he doesn't turn it around we could start talking about the House again.
I'm pretty skeptical about the House flipping. Republicans can lose the popular vote by about 5 points and still keep a majority of the seats.
Agreed, but it at least becomes an option if Trumps slide doesn't stop soon. If the EC outlook moves into bloodbath territory (is GA flipping that point?) and holds I can see that causing issues. Trump spins out of control, party infighting, RNC shifting funds and staff to the Senate, etc. Lot of ifs in there, but unless something changes (Trump needs a great debate) it's at least a plausible scenario.
to me if we get down to like 10 days out and Trump knows he's crashing, maybe he loses his shit one last time and really says/does something awful...and Georgia then Missouri slip away, then it might happen because the Congressmen waited too long to turn on him. There's a letter out today from 30 or so former Republican Congressmen denouncing him, but only one sitting party member - Mark Kirk - has taken the plunge. So far they have been unwilling to bail out and they probably only have another 10 days or so to do so.
