Lawrenceville is a suburb of Atlanta - maybe you've heard of it - a little metropolitan area of about 5,000,000 folks where a HUGE percentage of the residents are black, gay, hispanic, etc. especially in Atlanta itself? Yeah, that's what she'd doing in Georgia.

Clinton actually has a shot at winning Georgia. Not a GREAT shot -- FiveThirtyEight has her odds at about 32% -- but now that she's favored to win basically ALL of the usual swing states, she can take a shot at some red ones too, and Georgia looks like the second-most likely after Arizona.

Georgia is pretty polarized - not many "on the fence" voters generally. Georgia very much votes along racial lines. That progressive hip white teacher in a nice picket-fence suburb of Augusta might talk a good game, but when they are in that voting booth all bets are off. Hillary has the overwhelming majority of the blacks by default because she is a democrat - they will grudgingly hold their nose and vote democrat. She'll get some white liberals but not as many as Obama got, because she just doesn't drum up any enthusiasm among people who don't feel that they can only be served by a democrat (like gays, blacks, mexicans, muslims, etc). Let's be realistic - if you are a white conservative Hillary has no appeal - nothing positive can ever come from voting for her, and she's just not a good person. I think Trump can only pull this off if he can motivate the old white crowd to vote. And guess what demographic always gets off their asses and votes? Yep, old white conservatives, so he has an advantage there. The thing is, do people hate Trump enough to vote against him? Or will they sit it out thinking Hillary has it in the bag, so why sweat it? I actually think Trump has enough people excited and motivated - Republicans who didn't care and sat it out last time because they were disgusted at voting for wash-rags again might just get out and vote. Upsets do happen from time-to-time. And having a democrat elected immediately after two consecutive terms of a democratic president is rare. Advantage for Trump there. If you are a UFC fan, you know 2016 is the year of the upset. Maybe that luck will carry over into the political arena - wouldn't that be wild?
