2) Refusing to give into demands of some posters to unban gturner does not equate with refusing to listen to those posters' concerns. Those concerns were addressed, ad nauseam, and the administration made very it very clear how the decision was reached and why it will not be changed.

That is exactly it. That is also why they spent months refusing to respond despite numerous bumps. They sit there in the mod forum jerking each other off and posting "just ignore them and they will go away".

When it became clear we weren't just going to go away they had to lock it to prevent people from speaking about things that embarrass them and which they want to forget about.

Actually, no, our concerns have never really been addressed. Anna has been the only one to actually try to explain anything or to show any willingness to do any introspection - everyone else either ignores the concerns that have been made or mock them. So far our picture hasn't really changed much from "he's banned because we don't like him and made up excuses to justify it." And now the thread has been locked, apparently because the admin staff is annoyed at seeing it bumped regularly, which is a pretty chickenshit thing to do, really. It also raises the question as to Anna's role here, as I thought she was supposed to be "formerly important."

It's a board drama in the same way that Voyager was a good Star Trek show.

OTOH, I find it funny that Dinner and X continue to be twits and banging the hammer but will take the piss at minorities for not shitting up and accepting the way things are just because we don't hang blacks or force women into the kitchen.
