Loved MoS and BvS (especially the extended edition, which I consider a masterpiece of the genre), and this looks like it will continue the streak for me. I love that they're infusing it with a little humor. I wonder how long they'll hold back the Supes reveal.
So, they're going to have to Frodo the cock-ring to the bunghole? Can't say as that's an improvement.
Superman- Really? I mean, Cap's the Boy Scout like me, Wonder Woman's the foreign chick like Black Widow, Aquaman's the foreign royalty like Thor, you're Iron Man -- Batman- No. I'm not Iron Man. Superman- Sure you are. You're both smart, you're both rich, you've got a bunch of cool gadgets instead of a full suit -- Batman- I'm not Iron Man. Wanna know why? Because I'm Batman.
Joss Whedon is going to write, direct, and produce Batgirl!! http://www.superherohype.com/news/394175-breaking-joss-whedon-to-direct-batgirl-movie
And it is literally only now that I realise we have a Sad but no Happy rep icon. Goes to show you what a fucking year it's been.
Much more potential than Nightwing, IMHO. I hope it's done fun. Serious, but fun. I read the New 52 Batgirl a few years back--tried it on a lark--and really enjoyed it, so I hope they do this along those lines.
If Wonder Woman and Justice League bomb (they won't) having Joss Whedon on board is still a game changer for the "plan B", version of the DCEU.
New Wonder Woman pics released. Many of them are stills of shots we've already seen in the trailers (though there is a behind-the-scenes one), and this:
Well, in happier news (see Charlie Murphy thread ) another JL poster. "Unite The League"? Are they sweeping "Unite The Seven", under the rug? We didn't forget, DC.
Dolph Lundgren is joining the Aquaman movie. http://www.superherohype.com/news/394915-dolph-lundgren-joins-aquaman-as-king-nereus
Okay, not in-universe, but it's DC related. They're doing a historical piece on the time they had Superman fight the KKK on his radio show, with the help of an ex-Klansman who taught the writers all their secrets. http://www.darkhorizons.com/a-superman-vs-the-kkk-film-planned/
Final full trailer with a lot of what we've already seen, but with some more story dialog and flashbacks sprinkled in. Also, pop song!
Also, reviews are coming in from film festival press junket audiences, and they universally love it. Even Guardians 2 had more nitpicks. Critics are still under embargo, but they can hint on social media, and they seem to dig it.
Holy shit!!!! Big news just rolled in this second!!! Zack Snyder's daughter committed suicide, so he's had to quit "Justice League", to grieve, and taking over for him in post-production is Joss Whedon!! http://www.darkhorizons.com/snyder-exits-justice-league-after-tragedy/
That's very sad to hear. My heart goes out to Zack and his family. I'm sure Whedon is the right guy to marshal this thing through to the end.
Now I'm finding out the suicide happened back in March, but Zack tried to bury himself in work to get through it, but it didn't work, and his other kids need him, so he finally quit the flick. Joss was already hired to do reshoots, so he was in the wings anyway.
