Paladin ignores cases of otherwise straight individuals engaging in same-sex rape in prisons as a dominance ritual. The same is true of most rapists. Attraction is not the dominant factor - control is. Pedophilia is almost always about control - a victim who could be either molded/groomed easily or otherwise cannot fight back. Sexual attraction would be of negligible weight since kids haven't developed many of the characteristics that are appealing to adult sexuality.
