I'll just go back to the hundreds of centuries the US wasn't here.

 

The British Empire was around for a good while and it helped establish Pax Britannica.

The Roman Empire helped establish Pax Romana.

The U.S. of course is not an empire.

 

Hence my point, the US is not indispensible and the various Paxes have come at a heavy cost in human lives, the US is just the latest in a long line.

By and large the most powerful nations tend to stay that way for a matter of a few centuries at best and either face invasion or implode. Interestingly one of the few nations to consistently sit in the top flight so to speak for any longer period is, well, Russia.

 

Also, possibly China.

 

Indeed, been a major player for millennia.

 

India also has potential, but China's very much on the economic scene with Africa. India would have to get creative - Central America, perhaps, but the US would not like that at all methinks

Totalitarianism is a system which requires complete and total subservience. That is what Dayton proposes for most of the world.
The fact that he thinks that the United States possesses a single "will" is also massively disturbing.
