"I just phasered Marvin in the head! On kill!"

"Does Captain Picard look like a bitch?"

"This dk'tagh was on your daddy’s waist when he was shot down at Khitomer. He was captured, put in a Romulan prison camp. He knew if the pointy-ears ever saw the blade it’d be confiscated, taken away. The way your dad looked at it, that knife was your birthright. He’d be damned if any Romulans were gonna put their greasy greenblood hands on his boy’s birthright. So he hid it in the one place he knew he could hide something. His ass. Five long years, he wore this dk'tagh up his ass. Then he died of having his lower intestines sliced open daily, he gave me the blade. I hid this uncomfortable hunk of metal up my ass two years. Then, after seven years, I was sent home to my family. The constant pain has washed clean the stain on our honour. And now Worf, Son of Mogh, I give the knife to you."

I like Tarantino less and less. He has a real sadistic streak. I can't see how that could work in a Star Trek movie.

I cannot wait for Tarentino trek to see Samuel Jackson in drag as uhura do the first trans biracial kiss in space with Tim Roth. Harvey Keitel will be the new scotty. I also figure the movie will have the word nigger in it more times than there are episodes of TOS, TNG, DS9, and Voyager.

Noah Hawley (showrunner on Legion) is reportedly set to write/direct Star Trek 4.

Does this mean we dodged the Tarantino bullet?

    Time will tell....

I thought the Tarantino thing was separate from 4. More like a Fallout: New Vegas sort of thing.

Don't give much of a shit about Trek 4 (though I've liked the JJVerse).

But I would love to see a Tarantino Trek.

Might not be Star Trek 4. In other words, not a sequel to the three JJ Trek movies, but a "reboot" with possibly a new cast according to this Yahoo article.

Shit, I even went and looked before posting mine . . . :(

At any rate, while a reboot might be okay, I can't see anyone doing a better job playing Spock than Zachary Quinto, and Karl Urban was dead-on perfect as McCoy.

If they are going to do a reboot, then give us the TOS enterprise. I’m talking something like they do did on DSC, but I wanna see it as close as possible to TOS, but of course make it look modern. I don’t wanna see holograms or other tech that TOS didn’t have and I don’t want it to look like post VOY. Just update the look so it doesn’t look like the 60s, I’m sure there’s someone who can do that.

I’m all for slowing down the action. Remember when movies had a thing called plot and story and specific to Trek, a morality tale? I’d love to see a return to that. Substance over style.

Except that Bones is likable in the movies while not so much so in Star Trek; even as a kid I found him a whiny annoyance, a foil for Spock jokes, a motivation for spontaneous snack break. [Except for the charm of his e.g.s 'Imma doctor not a bricklayer.']

Bones is the counter to Spock. “Jim, you can’t be serious?!?” And often times he’s probably right, but too often Spock wins the argument.
