I cannot say for sure. I have not asked him yet. I think he has left permanently.

Before I go into this, it is all; my personal opinion based on what I have seen and not anything he has said bad about anyone.

I have seen people around here treat him absolutely terribly. I have to remind myself sometimes this is not a "friends" group. There is no respect down those lines. I am also not in the RR for that. It is my thought he expected a lot more consideration from people for his political views, and he got ripped up like a trump supporter would by people I think he had a long history with and should have toned the shit down a lot for a person like him.

I am an asshole a lot of times, and to be around me you should probably be able to take some abuse even though I might be somewhat polite to you. I will agree Amaris is probably on a moral high horse, but i also believe he actually gives a fuck about others and really wishes the world was a better place to only be disappointed over and over as what he thought were friends showed him over and over they were ghorrible to each other. he spent a long time here doing shit only to find out the place he freely gave his effort to treated him like shit.

Again, I have not spoken to him for his reasons so I guess he just fucking left. He did not throw shit at people as far as I can see. He did not starti a lot of public drama over his leaving. He just fucking left a place that probably hurt him quite a bit.

No I am not asking him to confirm any of those thoughts, nor am I even going to bring that sore point up with him. I assume being a mindful and thoughtful person he let the people who he trusted and wants to continue contact with a way to contact him.

I really wish him the best and hope he finds a group that respects him and he can be comfortable with.

As for my personal take as not amaris I have just lowered my standards over the years. I can get along with people, and even meet up with people for a pleasant and legitimately fun time. I just appreciate it as a moment of connection and good and am happy when I meet people I can have some agreement with. I have met some really great friends over the internet, but I have had a lot more disasters where i expected too much from others and gotten hurt. Strangely the people who I have found the most interesting and best people to meet have been my opponents. I guess that is because I do not start off expecting much from them so when things are respectful in person I think better of them. When you think well of people and find out that things are not as great as you thought it can be hurtful when they are simply just inconsiderate and not mindful of your feelings.

Amaris thought better of people like you, IMO, and it hurt him to find out how lowly and pathetic you are. He left because he does not like kicking human turds around. The rest of us are around here because we get off on that.

Amaris is a kind, loving person who's been whipsawed by life. When we first crossed paths on TBBS he was a fundamentalist Christian preacher. He gradually became radicalized and eventually ended up where he is now. I'm hoping for the best.

ETA: I'm hoping that it's simply a matter of Amaris deciding that leaving would reduce some of the stress in his life. If that's so, I hope it works and it may be good example for any of us who find our stress level from being here (or on social media site) outweighing the entertainment value.

I doubt it was just this. She's been pulling away from all her communities. She scrambled her password on TBBS aged ago, citing the same thing that boiled down to "everyone changed." I noticed her Reddit acct was gone a while ago too.

Tererun isn't entirely wrong about the community treating her like shit: Face and Sokar would accuse her of being a pedophile and other conservatives called her soft even before she became a liberal for not salivating over the death penalty or the gross bombing attacks in Iraq. But she's been more or less over this place after that gturner business and trolls used her personal info during that board explosion to act like dicks.

This is more extreme than her other moral bents, but it's not entirely out of character. It's pretty similar to how Dinner kept the same obnoxious behaviors after flipping opinions. At any rate, Mike is right: life has not been kind to her and I suspect a lot of this is her projecting because of factors that can't be fixed in her real life.

Also, she lives in Ohio, which is reason enough to hate life.

Unfortunately once you get in such a cycle it is very hard to get out.

It’s the same thing the QAnoners are having to deal with now. They got radicalized to the point where they pushed away everyone who wasn’t also a Believer. So they only hang out with other Believers so all they talk about is The Truth. And their only mental/emotional support network are all Believers. So even when reality pushes back and doubts creep in you really can’t change your thinking else you won’t have anyone. So instead you double down.

I mean, Amaris was a founding member of Wordforge, so if one is going to blow up two decades of history, they're probably not likely to slink back in six months later under another alias.

We've only had one other poster request a hard delete of his account and that was at least seven years ago.

Honestly amaris should be off the internet. She constantly complains about her lot in life but spends a ton of time on 3 separate message boards that i know about, in all likelihood a lot more than that. There comes a point where you’ve got to stop wasting time and complaining online and actually do something to improve your life. I hope she figures it out
