It is interesting, now that you mention it, that it seems like Internet libertarians rarely give Trump/Republicans the pasting they deserve for raising the debt/deficits, military adventurism, somehow both simultaneously not using either government or private sector resources well in dealing with issues such as the pandemic, police misconduct, voter suppression, racism, etc. I don't think name Libertarians or pundit Libertarians do much better with a handful of exceptions. Like the guy from Reason who does a lot of writing about police misconduct seems to go beyond FYGM (which I assume is an acronym for "Fuck you, got mine," in which case, genius)

I'm no progressive, but the Trump presidency convinced me the Republicans always talking about "fiscal responsibility" was always a bunch of hot air. Now that they're trying to pivot back to that in order to block the Dems won't fly with me. Everybody sees that the debt is a meaningless issue to both sides unless it can be weaponized.

Maybe, but in my experience, the Democrats have never labeled themselves as "The party of Fiscal Responsibility". They want to raise taxes and increase spending. In the previous presidency, the Republicans were all about slash taxes and increase spending. Which philosophy do you figure leads to more debt?
