This is debatable and basically says, “blame whitey for everything bad in your life, you don’t have to take any personal responsibility for yourself.” It’s problematic and divisive.

Standard question time: if the impact of historical inequalities aren't still felt today, and there is no systematic racism (noting that systematic racism can occur in systems where not a single individual is racist), then why are statistical differences still seen in living standards along white/black lines in the USA?

In the justice system, black people are imprisoned at higher rates.

In the housing market, black people are more likely to have their homes undervalued.

Why do Blacks fall behind Whites in education? Why do predominantly black schools do far worse on average than predominantly white schools?

Why do Blacks have a harder time buying and even selling homes than Whites?

Why does 14% of the population make up 34% of the prison population?

Why is it that Blacks have more health problems than Whites?

Is it because Blacks are genetically inferior to Whites across the board (genetically predisposed to being dumber, more prone to crime/violence, addiction, sickly, etc), or could it be something else?

Sounds to me that you drew a conclusion first, then found things to fit your conclusion. There could a number of reasons why there are differences in living standards. You’ve already decided it has to be systemic racism and nothing else. Like I said, it’s debatable and therefore problematic and divisive.

We can prove that the earth is round because we can take a boat and sail from one side to the other.

But racist conclusions aren't, because reasons.

And we can prove systemic racism with phone videos of cop violence, and court records of shitty judges.

Read a history of red lining and the creation of the suburbs.
Pure dripping liquid racism.

Critical race theory itself is not being taught in K-12 schools (unless you’re talking about some very advanced students!). However, the research and scholarship that inform CRT have greatly shifted how many education experts view our school systems.

Critical race theory emerged in legal circles, but it has spread to other areas of scholarship and policymaking, including education. For instance, in our nation’s schools, we still have sizable and stubborn gaps in academic proficiency between white children and their Black, Latinx and Native American peers. CRT has been helpful to education leaders as they seek to disentangle the systems in our communities and schools that oppress students of color, and hinder their ability to thrive.

By starting from the well-established fact that academic proficiency is not related to the color of one’s skin, critical race theory pushes policymakers to look beyond the individual students and instead look at the system around them.
