Why did someone feel the need to make that meme? People aren’t complaining about segregation history or the history of slavery being taught, they’re complaining about the narrative that comes with it which is designed to divide people and make students hate America and be ashamed to be white.

Then you haven't been paying attention. The meme is correct. People are trying to ban segregation and slavery being taught in schools. That's the point of the meme.

Let us take this lack of definition to it's conclusion. What will stop non-white students from using this lack of definition to say teaching the whitewashed lessons that slavery was good for slaves is CRT? Since CRT is an undefined term because you cannot say it is only about white kid's feelings, then by law it would enable everyone to say teachings are CRT if it makes you feel bad about race.

By the vague and open definition of CRT being anything that makes someone ashamed of their race, it would be able to be used by everyone. The courts will either have to define CRT by it's course description from graduate schools, or they will have to toss the laws out because they are poorly defined and therefor cannot be enforced. Either way this shit is doomed because it is written by idiots.

The law requires definition, not you sitting there trying to intimidate and threaten teachers with some undefined law because you cannot pass a test. In all honesty I would be up for limiting high school from teaching an advanced law school course in CRT to kids who are not becoming lawyers and are having trouble with basic algebra and science. Even advanced college level courses taught in high school should begin with your entry level college curriculum and not CRT. But that does not mean you refrain from teaching the basic american history of overwhelming racism that has defined our society, and is the major influence in whining about CRT being taught to children of white snowflakes.

Dumbshit. What happens when a black student feels harmed by the teaching of white racist lies? Then they get to sue their teachers and administration under the law. The law is not written to just apply to little white snowflakes who cannot take the truth. POC can easily use the law for themselves to target white racist lies about the history of the US.

In all honesty, perhaps we should let the laws go and then use them to go after the schools for teaching the lies we all grew up with.

By making this and letting it play out we will put the truth and the lies into a direct legal debate as to what belongs in school. The argument is coming, and these laws can be used by students of color to directly challenge the lies in texass history books that have been indoctrinating our children into white nationalism.


What is the court room going to look like? We are going to have historians and scholars presenting evidence of slavery and modern racism as part of the truth about history. On the other side we will have Idiots like Trump, MTG, and Ghomert arguing that slaves were happy, and that racism does not exist.

Maybe it is time we had this argument? My history courses missed a lot of the racism. I grew up with people like christopher columbus being a great and noble explorer who showed us the earth was not flat. Crediting that sadistic genocidal asshole with stuff humans knew long before Europe was important is absolutely horrible. We grew up being taught our founding fathers were great free thinkers who were for freedom while allowing for owning black people, not giving women the right to vote, and for only wanting rich landowning white males to have a say is another huge lie. Half the people we credit with inventions are really thieves who took them from POC or women in their office.

All of this because we let the most racist white people write our school curriculum because they own textbook printing companies.

My employer has a .... partnership with the local school district and I volunteer and have taught Junior Achievement to elementary school classes. It's not a lot of material, but it is difficult to get through all of it in one day - a half day for the younger ones. I honestly have no idea how teachers get anything taught.
