I'd be vague about labeling what "politics" is, but the targets I'd whine about would make it obvious.

This tactic is aided by the fact that so many lazy observers are willing to go along with a narrative wherein anything that goes against the existing order is defined as "political," but anything that reinforces it is not.

There are many different forms of media.

Are you talking news? hollywood? facebook/twitter?

If facebook and twitter seem to have a liberal biased slant, guess what, more people on those platforms are liberal.

If hollywood puts out movies and tv shows that have a liberal slant, then they think most people are liberal and putting out movies and tv shows with a liberal slant will generate more money for them.

If the news has a liberal slant, then you aren't getting news, you're getting editorials or analysis of news. That's on the reader. Check your sources.

A lot of that comes from the political space where the viewers reside.

I know lots of conservatives who decry PBS NewsHour as being horribly "liberal" because it's on PBS. I've watched that program for years, though, and they pretty much play it straight down the middle. Very balanced and objective, especially compared to many of their counterparts.

The people who complain about the newscast are so far to the right that something as balanced as NewsHour comes across as "liberal!!! ".

And I'm not talking Trumptards. This goes back years, before he was ever a political thing.

If the only effort is towards "diversity," the production likely fails because some or all of the other elements of the production were neglected. I don't know why people persist in this bullshit narrative that diversity is a shield against criticism, and that a "diverse" show is only criticized and/or rejected on the basis of its "diversity."
