I have to say I really wasn't. If you've never seen an interview with Mary Peltola be sure to find one somewhere. She is extremely impressive, not just from a political standpoint, but she completely defuses Sarah Palin by making it clear that she considers Sarah her friend and really doesn't have time for personal attacks. A feeling that Sarah seems to share. Go figure. There also is the ranked choice voting which shows the weakness of first past the post. In a splintered election the hard core true believers of whatever stripe can control things despite having nothing approaching any kind of mandate. I hope some activists are considering an initiative for RCF in Idaho. Of course, right now the group that's brought a couple to the ballot successfully (including the Medicare expansion, which totally enraged the right winger power structure in the state) is busy trying to get an abortion initiative passed.
