Yeah, cuz the election deniers didn't get elected. You'd have a point if they got elected, and then flipped, and went "Haha! Just kidding! We'll totally let Democrats win now that we have this power!". No, we really did dodge a fucking bullet. Even non-MAGA Republicans know it. Their votes are how the MAGAs lost.
It's really, really sad and such a damning indictment of your party that this is the only win you can take away from the midterms
I’m pretty sure people were saying that they wouldn’t cede the election. I know Bill Maher said something to this effect. I distinctly remember @Lanzman saying like “goodbye America, it was a good run” or something like that. A lot of talking heads did the same. Turns out democracy worked just as it has been since the founding of this country.
I don’t belong to any party, but it’s not the only win for the Republicans, Nancy Pelosi is gone, more republicans came out than democrats, Ron DeSantis had a huge win, Florida went completely red, the Democrats barely held on to the senate, republicans still won the house and 2/3 of senate Democrats are up in 2024. I wouldn’t spike the football just yet.
Yeah because a lot of them, like Lake, refused to answer if they'd accept election results or not. Hence why it's a story being reported on
They refused because they didn’t want some dishonest “journalist” using their answer as an out of context sound bite. I don’t blame them one bit. Better to just not say anything at all.
And will your assumption being proven wrong change your assessment of MSNBC's reliability in any way, or will you just go right back to the exact same assertion next time the topic comes up, like it's Groundhog Day?
Why are you such a fucking rep pussy? You can tell that shit really gets under your skin. Which forces me to do it more. Two for flinching, stupid.
Dude. "Ok, thanks for pointing that out." was all you needed to say at the barest of minimum. And guess what? At least I would have been happy with that instead of facepalming your post. I won't speak for Dickynoo Look, as much as you drive us up the wall with your takes, at least some of us have hope for you (and for my part, you've stretched my patience several times). Please do us the courtesy at least taking our admittedly clumsy attempts to broaden your horizons with some grace.
Conservies have to constantly perform the whole "own the libs" thing to the bitter death, or they get disowned. Like how 80's wrestlers had to stay in character even when they went grocery shopping. Wrestling has let up on that, Republicanism not so much.
It's been 25 days since @TuckerCarlson reported that we'd run out of diesel in 25.9 days... and we have actually more diesel then we did when his wildly inaccurate report ran on Oct. 28. https://twitter.com/gasbuddyguy/status/1594726078072770560?s=46&t=f2zJVCC8xpAmxYb3Dc_LoQ
I see the problem - a Socratic dialogue is where one participant PRETENDS to be ignorant in order to show up the other party, who presents themselves as an expert. The problem being that FF actually IS ignorant.
The smugness of your post doesn't really deserve a reply, but I'll give one anyway. You have hope for me? For what, that I'll vote for a Democrat? Already have, several times. That I'll suddenly realize that big government is the correct course of action? Not happening. That I'll suddenly trust the news media? They've proven that they can't be trusted. That I'll finally line up and be a good minion? Don't hold your breath. That I'll think and act exactly as you wish? You wish. What exactly do you hope I will do?
No, but good for you. Not what I'm hoping for, but I'll note in an ideal situation, I'd rather have an effective government. If that means a 'big government', okay, though 'big' usually means cumbersome and unwieldly instead of having enough support positions to do the job set out. YMWV. Not that. I'll only want that once I've become Soopream Ouvarloard lol Examine issues critically from a point of empathy, to see where people are coming from with their concerns, understanding that they will most likely present it in a clumsy and/or confrontational way, to see what you can take from that to form your opinions in conjunction with supporting information. For example: Abortion and trying to understand why there's such a visceral reaction against SCOTUS killing RvW, and seeing why the half of the population directly affected by that decision are voicing their opinions on it.
I just think there should be reasonable restrictions on abortion. Getting rid of Roe didn’t make abortion illegal.
Bill "Federal Farmer" Carson sleeps with a body pillow with Lauren Boebert's photo taped to it. He refers to said body pillow as his "wife," and has sex with it no fewer than two times a day. Initially, he thought about purchasing several "attachments" to facilitate said lovemaking, but eventually decided the 11" strap-on was all he really needed. I don't know anything about Carson Tower's personal life or sexuality, so I just assumed this is the sort of stuff he's into. It's not a lie because I didn't intentionally make statements I know to be false. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_W.
