so, predictions and observances: looks like we're moving a couple of years forward as Omega is taller along with the longer hair. gonna guess 2 years since the start of the series. more defector/decommissioned clones as they search for allies. guaranteed return to Ryloth and the Syndullas. along with the Wookie, other Jedi in hiding. Quinlan Vos comes to mind, and maybe they can mine his story with Asajj Ventriss? If they have to show Kanan again, I hope the sound editors fix his voice. Probably Ahsoka and/or Rex connecting with Bail Organa further as the pockets of resistance start to form and he builds a network.
Rumor has it Commander Cody’s post order 66 story will be revealed. And that he will die. Which is why some of the scenes in the trailer, the batch’s armor has the colors of Cody’s unit. (212th?)
screencrush (nobody likes the asides to the dog, Ryan) did a pretty good listing of all the eastereggs. sounds like they're working to build a story that'll justify"nobody ever seeing a Romulan" "Somehow, Palpatine returned." while also backfilling characters-like how Fennec Shand showed up last season. Betting we get at least one visit to Ferrix and young Ma'arva... I'm pretty sure it's in that same NE corner of the galaxy as Lothal, Mandalore, and Ryloth based on some of the stuff said in Andor. Easy money that Saw Guerra will show up too.
Probably. Feloni has been pretty good at giving meaningful story details out of nonsense set up in the prequels and sequels. He touched on a little in The Mandalorian and I do kind of wonder if Andy Serkis’ character from Andor is Snoke, but Snoke had force powers, he doesn’t appear to have them.
Snoke is a genetic construct, and a hand-puppet for Palps, so Palps could have thrown all kinds of stuff into the recipe. Hell, Kino could have spit into the cauldron walking by for kicks, and not known what he was doing.
Omega ran into a bunch of abandoned clone tubes with what looked Snokish when Bane and Shand were trying to catch her, so probably not. It's happening over a decade earlier than when he appears in Andor.
So Cody has fucked off somewhere. Something tells me that Crosshair’s going to eventually not follow orders.
well, how... that they were being retired via attrition and attenuation was always there. Especially once they started to streamline as alluded to in the first episode. There's no point in having elite super soldiers when all that's needed post war is a policing force.
Ooooh, things are getting really interesting, I can't wait to see where this goes. The Bad Batch needs to finally ditch Cid though before she really turns on them.
Crosshair episode today. Finally gets a bit more development as a character rather than of his character. Nice bit of world building to the story backdrop, too.
Another Chrosshair episode. I'm liking that their finally moving the story along, I could do without the filler episodes. I get why they're doing it, but I much prefer these type of episodes better.
So, Echo eventually gets Echo base named after him, what does Crosshair get? suspicions and accusations? He ensured his own demise trying to warn BB. Will they realize his sacrifice?
I don't see how. or the point - as far as story telling goes. At this point, we're left to assume they will all be dead by 5 BBY because Rex only mentions Wolfe and Gregor and they have all aged worse than ObiWan. And, there's just an assumption that Echo base is so named because of CT-1409. I'd like to see Crosshair rescued, I just don't think that will move the story in the direction I think Filoni is trying to go - Empire is evil.
Holy shit that was intense! So sad to lose Tech, I'm glad Crosshair's still alive though. Hopefully the remaining BB can't mount a rescue. I'm going to assume Crosshair doesn't make it if they do manage to get Echo back.
Hmm, some people are saying no body = inconclusive. Also, I didn’t realize that was the season finale and possibly the series finale. I sure do hope there’s a season three because that’s one hell of a cliffhanger.
Fun fact: Katie Lucas (relation!) wrote some of the episodes "Dark Disciple" is based on, so technically, she's a co-writer.
