noticing that's the haircut she has in the EU books where she hooks up with Quinlan Vos. His name is amongst those on the wall in Kenobi. Wonder if this is a hint he'll be showing up as I suspect the story arc is going to be about the BB helping create the underground railroad for clones.
Filoni seems to want to tie everything together. And, the entire saga is less than 100 years. There’s bound to be crossover. Also, Quinlan Vos would have been aware of and, most likely, interacted with her during the war. Which books?
FWIW, I didn't really read the tweet past "Feb 21st" either... leaves off on a good point that it might be a flashback as she supposedly returns to the nightsister side of the force (dies) in DD, easy to handwave away though.
Does everyone here actually read every fucking post? Where is this tweet? Also, @Spaceturkey, apparently they’re playing as fast and loose with book cannon as they did with Ashoka. The book, Ahsoka, which starts within 6 months of order 66, paints a different picture of the certain events than those told in Tales of the Jedi. But, not so different as to change the outcomes of those stories.
the post is an image of a tweet. DD is notable in that it's considered hard canon, having been comprised of unproduced CW scripts.
So I forgot this show had returned at the end of February. Pretty solid premiere episode, it reminded me of Andor.
Very sad. Omega’s about 30ish. Not sure at what point in the rebellion the epilogue takes place. Think it was season 3 of Rebels when the call went out for more pilots in the rebellion. So, that’s 2 BBY. Maybe we’ll see her in Andor season 2. Or Ahsoka season 2. Either way, I’m glad she joined the rebellion.
we know from R1 that up until ANH the rebellion is still just multiple insurgencies, so I'd go jsut after the Death Star gets destroyed and before ESB. That'd put her at 31-34. Also figure Hunter would be about the same age, which'd fit between 2 A/BbY Also, the jacket she's wearing is very close to the one Luke wore at the medal ceremony. I could see her in Mando/Ahsoka era being played by someone like Emilie de Ravin
I’m less concerned with the actress playing her. But, then, I do the same with male actors and male characters I really like. I would not have even noticed her jacket being similar to Luke’s. But, you’re probably right. Any ideas on how often fashion changes in that galaxy at that time. Of course, for the course of our entire lives, fashion has changed nearly every year, so … I still want to see the first meeting between Omega and Boba.
I was going less with changes in style than the "geography" of it. IIRC, by the time of ANH most of the Rebel fleet had been folded into the cell based on Yavin4, led by Dodonna. turns out that Michelle Ang is 40 though, so not entirely unreasonable to dye her hair and have her remain in the role.
Andor is on Yavin4 prior to going on the mission with Jyn Erso to find Saw Guerra That’s cool. I could see her in Mando.
yup... and Ferrix is (likely) in the same corner of the outer rim as Mandalore and Lothal. I always presumed those events to be taking place about 2-3BBY.
I don’t know about Mandalore, but, I’m pretty sure Lothal is a mid-rim planet. Damn it. Now I have to google it.
Mandalore and Yavin, though, could be considered mid rim. Odd, though, Dantooine was too far “out” to be an effective illustration for the Death Star, but Mandalore was closer to Coruscant than Alderan and we know The Purge took place in 1 BBY. So, why not use the Death Star there. THAT would have made a bigger impact than Alderan and would not have ended with so many sympathizing with the Rebellion.
yup, and in relatively close proximity to each other. Although yeah, Mandolore is MR. Just seemed reasonable to me that they'd have more similar styles and designs in the same sense as depending where in north america you are customs and costumes tend to connect.
True. I just never pay attention to clothes or fashion. In fact, the less fashionable a person dresses, the more likely I am to notice.
probably a few weeks/months before it was operational? I can't see Alderaan on the wookiepedia map, but they say it's a core world. So not sure if Mandolore is closer?
Hmm. Wikipedia says Mandalore is an outer rim world and Alderaan is a core world. The history of Mandalore and the Jedi, though, would suggest Mandalore should be closer to Jedi homeworld of Tython (deep core). I should do more research before making up shit about made up shit.
