I don't think that High Evolutionary's power set was "the same" as even relatively de-powered Kang, except in so far as "both use technology so advanced it might as well be magic." Both employed a device that could anti-grav/telekinetically manipulate someone. Kang was able to create/genetically modify MODOK and HE also genetically modifies animals and the occasional life form. That's about it.
Right, just because they were both erratic hyper intelligent scientists that used gravity powers to overwhelm their foes and used their super science to artificially give powers to their minions doesn't mean they are the same at all! LOL.
Captain America 4 has gone from "New World Order" to "Brave New World". I would have gone with "Hulk 3 with everyone but Hulk". https://www.darkhorizons.com/fourth-captain-america-scores-new-title/
Hulk sad. Hulk want own movie again. Hulk glad Jen got series and Hulk was invited, but Hulk can carry mountains - can carry own movie.
Disney finally got the rights to put "The Incredible Hulk" on Disney+. So, all the pieces of the MCU and Fox-CU are all together under one roof. For streaming. Course, us disk collectors can make any canon we want by how we sort our shelves. "Coincidentally" Hulk is playing on FX right now.
Holy fuck that looks stupid/terrible/bad. I wouldn't call Kraven an A-list villain, but the one that that made him stand out was that he was just a regular human that pushed himself and trained hard to become a mighty hunter capable of challenging guys like Spider-Man. He had sort of a "what if Bruce Wayne had been really into safaris instead of Zorro movies" vibe. Making him into a metahuman takes that away. Yeah, they should have just skipped right to the doubly shitty/memeable crossover. Unless maybe they're building up an off-brand Sinister Six for Venom to slaughter...
Kraven injested various secret herbs that gave him enhanced physical abilities. Very similar to the Black Panther. And he was an original member of the Sinister Six. Though I agree with you the trailer is not impressive. Guess we'll see.
Did anyone watch Secret Invasion? It’s nice to have Fury back and it’s nice to be back on Earth, I’m getting tired of all the cosmic stuff. I don’t really remember much about the Skrulls from Captain Marvel so it’s kind of hard for me to care about these characters, but the cast is great. I’m not going to spoil anything, but the last shot in episode one, I was not expecting that.
Did not have helped kill SDCC on my MCU 5 bingo card. San Diego Comic-Con Loses More Big Names After Marvel Drops Out
Good, I want those SDCC exclusive figures to keep getting distributed through GameStop like they did during covid instead of being convention exclusives.
https://www.avclub.com/harrison-ford-on-mcu-debut-let-s-shoot-this-piece-of-1850599321 Ford was such a movie star that, according to Mackie, he’d chill everyone out by saying things like “‘Let’s shoot this piece of shit.’” Don’t worry. No one took offense to that. In Mackie’s retelling, it sounds like everyone on set just recontextualized Ford calling the movie a “piece of shit” into an expression of enthusiasm, a rallying cry for the production. “He would say, ‘Let’s shoot this piece of shit,” Mackie said. “And everybody was like, ‘Yeah, let’s shoot this shit.’” It doesn’t matter that shooting a “piece of shit” is different from “let’s shoot this shit.” The cast and crew just took it as a compliment. Reassuring.
Sony, Netflix, HBO, and Universal Studios have also pulled out. Looks like it's related more to the WGA strike and potential SAG-AFTRA strike than anything else.
Dude who plays Dopinder says we don't have to worry about Deadpool 3 getting PG-13-ified by Disney. https://www.darkhorizons.com/deadpool-3-to-be-as-hard-r-as-ever/ I wasn't worried. Disney+ added an R rated mode to contain the first 2 Deadpools and Logan, so...
Okay, that's funny. "Elektra" is the least-loved pre-MCU movie just ahead of "Man-Thing". Garner is the George Clooney of Marvel. Ryan Reynolds saw "The Flash" and said "hold my beer".
Meanwhile! Deadpool 3 keeps trucking along! Haha!! Nice! Wolvie has his comic book suit! Actually, this gets around Jackman having to bulk up, which is mostly why he was sick of the role. Now he can just be all suit like Michael Keaton. Ryan Reynolds, you clever bastard!
The reality was that mostly everything was going to be downhill after Endgame. You basically had a ten-year run-up to one of the biggest superhero showdowns in cinematic history. Where the hell do you go from there?
