Whoever took this photograph and thought it would be fun to post online is being disrespectful as hell to the shirtless folk. But that doesn't make it genocide or a hate crime or ethnic cleansing, it's just kind of a dick move. And reposting it to condemn it doesn't make it any better.

I've seen a lot of things lately along the lines of "the IDF dropped another bomb and killed a billion people just now, all the bodies are still buried under the rubble." But if they're still under the rubble, how did Hamas count and identify them so quickly?

Forcibly moving a specific people out of an area, permanently, is not genocide no matter who deems it so. It is ethnic cleansing, however. Remains to be seen if that will happen in Gaza.

Hamas needs to be wiped out, with extreme prejudice, for its actions in October. But the Israeli government needs to make peace with the Palestinians and concede enough to make peace worthwhile...or this conflict will go on until there IS genocide, on one side or the other. Neither side is going away. Something has to give; neither side is getting the 'river to the sea.'

Sorry, I'd still rather have Israel controlling Palestine than a Muslim theocracy or oligarchy. If you think some Palestinian secular Utopia would replace israel, you're just plain wrong. That doesn't justify Israeli war crimes, but it also doesn't justify blanket support of Palestinian independence. From The River To The Sea would be a human rights disaster.
