Crowd gathers outside hospital, chants "We hope they die" after 2 LA County deputies were shot More "collateral damage."
Yeah, my kid is a teenager now, so I don't really care anymore. But nice to see the trash is still the trash. As if there was any doubt.
If there's no other way to control and weed out rogue cops, hitting their masters in the wallet might do the trick.
One would think so. You would also think conservatives would be outraged at such a flagrant waste of taxpayers' dollars. But this is enough to make you wonder. “The 10 cities with the largest police departments paid out $248.7 million in 2014 in settlements and court judgments in police-misconduct cases,” The Wall Street Journal reported in 2015. In just the first eight weeks of 2018, Chicago paid out $20 million in police misconduct lawsuits, according to a local news investigation. New York City pays by far the most. In 2017, it paid a record $302 million for police misconduct lawsuits, according to the city controller’s office. It's almost enough to make you think the ability for police to abuse and kill people of color without legal jeopardy is more important than anything else.
The same city of New York run by liberal fuckheads? Wait, I thought you said conservatives were bad? Oh right, you're a fucking dumbass.
Hey, here's an idea, America. Let's not take the dumbest people we went to high school with, show them hours of training tapes that everyone wants to murder them, and them arm them with a big black wooden cock. I know, it sounds crazy, but I just might be on to something.
And here I was thinking you'd grown and matured you'd in the interim since you were gone. Silly me. You do know (well, probably not) that there are five boroughs in NYC, and that they each have their own character and political voice? No? imagine my surprise. You'd be happiest in certain areas of There-Goes-the-Neighborhood places in Queens or on the North Shore of Staten Island. Let me know if you decide to relocate. I can hook you up with of the local gavones.
Meanwhile, here you are - like Tererun - classifying all Boomers as stupid. We weren't the ones who made college tuitions obscene.
Omg. You know I’m a boomer, as well. The meme was funny. Not my fault you don’t have a sense of humor.
If Boomers want to say "I worked xxx AND paid my own way through college AND .... whatever else", then you Boomers sure as hell get to listen to Millennials refute that.
I got through college in Florida by living at home and going to a JuCo for two years, then the next two at an in-state university. I worked, but my parents were able to pay my tuition and cover my housing. No we weren't rich. My father was retired Air Force. They also put my brother through college and my sister through two years of business school. I shudder to think what the chances of doing that would be now.
Exactly. I had student loans, but that was back when they were guaranteed at 4% interest rate and was able to pay them back within a few years.
So basically the Boomers grew up, went to college with low-interest loans, and then promptly raised interest rates on succeeding generations to make as much money as they could. Thanks.
Meanwhile in Florida, Governor DeSantis is holding a press conference with Sheriff Grady Judd and leaders of the legislature. They have announced legislation that will crack down on violence against police and citizens.
