    I have to say that at first I was against him, simply b/c of his Islamist roots, but was swayed by a couple of good articles in the Economist.

    The guy is pro-Western (lobbied their Congress to allow U.S. to stage invasion of Iraq from Turkey) and appears to truelly have left his Islamist background behind.

    And if we don't allow political islam that plays by the rules to come to power, we give them no options but revolution. :shrug:
