I have a lot of gay friends. They are awesome, I don't think of them differently from my heterosexual friends.

I had a gay roommate who was a complete coward fuckin' asshole though.

And then there's me, who I consider to be mostly gay. I like myself most the time. :)

In my younger years I hung out with nothing but gay men, although I never really took the time to rationalize why. Hmmm... The guys I was dating didn't like it, but oh well, they didn't last very long. But the gay guys were my best friends.

My best friend is. She's as normal as they come. She's engaged to her girlfriend, has a job, an apartment. Life is rather normal. Sleeps too much if you ask me though. :P

Sure do. One of them was my best buddy in grade school, and easily the most loyal and honest friend I ever had.

Yes, my brother (also my best friend) as well as a couple of other friends and acquaintances. My gay friends are just like everyone else. They are all individuals. Some are exceptional people, some have serious flaws, and most are in between the two extremes.

I would have to say a lot of the openly gay friends I have seem to be very honest. I don't think that is necessarily because gay people are more naturally honest, however, I think it can be attributed to the level of self-acceptance and openness a person has to have before they come out of the closet.

Only unpleasant gay person I ever knew was my junior year english teacher.

But, Maine is pretty damned homophobic, so he was probably carrying a lot of bitterness around.

I have a freind from childhood that did 5 years in the state pen... Needless to say, he "found" himself in those years and has been running from it ever since. I always ask him why he makes so much effort to deny who he is and he gives me a bunch of regurgitated bible verses.

Life is short to carry around a bag of bricks like that. I hope he figures out what is going to make him happy before it's too late.

I have observed that some gay people follow the Gay stereotype and make sure they fit all the criteria. Those ones piss me off D:

the ones who are gay and just go on with themselves are fine and can carry out their lives however they want. IMO of course.

I'm starting to wonder if my ex-girlfriend is a lesbian...

    :chris:

But leaving that aside, I don't have any friends who are openly gay/bi.

    Beats me.

My best friend for years (he was best man at my wedding) stopped returning mine and Amys phone calls about a year ago.

    No idea why.

Another good friend got married at the age of 39. I haven't heard from him since. Though its just been a year. Perhaps he is still in the honeymoon phase. His mother claims that her daughter in law is steering him away from all his old acquaintances and family.

I had a good friend when I worked at Wal-mart. We went to see First Contact together. Went to a Star Trek convention together. Visited another coworker who had cancer a couple of times together.

But then he murdered his mother and we lost touch after he went to prison.

He got out after four years and I heard he moved back to Texas.
