Ahnuld managed to come from a working-class background in Austria, use bodybuilding as a foot in the door of coming to the United States (which is a major achievement in and of itself). Once he got here, he started a successful construction company and then used the success of "Pumping Iron" to get his foot in the door of the film industry.

From there, he carefully selected roles until he was able to expand his credibility as an actor to comedy and (to a lesser degree) non-action drama.

He also parlayed all his hard work in body-building into heading the President's Commission on Physcial Fitness (or whatever the Hell the name of it is) during the Reagan(?) years. And from there he managed to get the sitting governor of arguably the most powerful state in the Union recalled and got himself elected.

He also played a crucial role in making the military humvee a commercially available vehicle, married a Kennedy, was a world-champion body builder, and is worth millions in his own right.

But hey, none of that means he's as smart as a thirtysomething guy who works a part-time job and lives, rent-free, in his Mom's attic.

Arnold is the epitome of the American dream. He came her and he made it hapen without standing around waiting for a handout. Just one of his accomplishments is more than most people will ever see in a lifetime.

I have several theories on Dan's hate. The more he says, the more I'll zero in on the real cause.

Getting a decent agent is an achievement in and of itself.

There are literally thousands of actors more talented than Arnold who no one has ever heard of and probably never will.

Finding talented people to help you get ahead is called...................leadership.

So why aren't more actors as successful as Schwarzenegger? The man came to the country as an immigrant who could barely speak English and was well on the road to being a millionaire just on the strength of the construction firm he started--before ever acting in anything.

I would wager than Arnold is smarter than 99% of the Kennedy clan he married into.
