Think i might have missed it. Oh whos ya daddy. http://www.bbc.co.uk/pudsey/onthenight/article_doctorwho.shtml
I finally found it on itbay orrenttay, because I can't get that link to work. It took a lot of hunting to find it, and it downloads *slow*, but it was cool... I thought the base state of the TARDIS was coral, since that's what that coral thing on Jack's desk is - a baby TARDIS he's growing (from scrapings he stole, no doubt) but I still liked the "you've changed the desktop theme" bit...
The link doesn't seem to want to work for me either. And it doesn't look to be on outubeya yet either. *sigh*
might be up on youtube already I liked it, it wasnt great,... but most things for children in need are pretty bad
I thought the nod of Tennant recognising Davidson as 'his' doctor, and picking up some of his quirks, was sweet. Being that Tennant is what, 35? 36? Davidson, for Tennant's generation, was probably the first doctor on screen that was understood, identified and appreciated when watching the show as a young 'uns. I know that Davidson was the first one I can really remember with any clarity.
"Not many men can pull off wearing a decorative vegetable" Indeed. Good to have him back, if only for a moment. Was almost expecting a "Back to when they were still alive..." from Ten after sending Five back to his right timestream. And well-merged with the ending of Last of the Time Lords so it doesn't matter if you miss the mini-ep, unlike the problems with the previous CiN special.
RTD apparently doesn't like multi-Doctor stories that much, so this may have been the only way the fans could get their wish. That or it's a trial run. See if people bought the "time differential" concept to explain why Davison looked older.
-While it was funny, it did seem odd that Five didn't recognize Ten. Hasn't the Doctor always been able to recognize himself before? -Ten seemed way too upbeat, considering what he'd just been through. I was expecting him to be torn between preserving the integrity of his personal timeline and warning Five about the coming Time War. Five was (or possibly about to be) the President of Gallifrey, in the perfect position to prepare the Time Lords for what was to come. -Needed more cowbell. That said, it really was awesome.
Great fun! Best line/exchange. "Oh the Master's back." "Oh dear. He hasn't still got that silly beard has he?" "No. No beard. Well, except for the wife."
The First Doctor didn't recognize Five in The Five Doctors until Tegan pointed it out. True, but Nine mentions in Father's Day that he's considered going back and stopping the war on many occasions. I'm assuming "pop back and meet one of your previous selves" might have been one of the options he looked at. I think that debate's pretty much over, for him. Besides, IF we assume the Time War in the series is somewhat similar to the one in the novels, then the Time Lords may have known it was coming and taken steps to prevent it which actually made things worse. Kinda like the Terminator films - they didn't actually STOP Judgement Day, just delayed it. For all we know, if the Doctor goes back and warns the Time Lords "one day, the Daleks will become such a threat they'll be able to win a war against us!", the TLs first action will be to send their current incarnation of the Doctor to Skaro on a mission to destroy the Daleks before they were ever creat...
