If I could figure him out, I could explain him, but lemme see...

He arrived in TNZ with his religion on his sleeve, so to speak. Even aside from the user name, he declared his intention to volunteer in Iraq as soon as he graduated from college. Then he dropped out of school and has since been working for his father selling used engines. Whenever he's reminded about his missionary work, he goes ballistic and calls the other person a liar.

He shares Midnight Funeral's "love" for Muslims, as in "the only good one is a dead one," and goes through similar paroxysms of glee at the thought of - someone else, of course - slaughtering them by the millions. As a self-declared virgin, it seems to be the only satisfaction he gets.

He's obsessed with the fact that every time he leaves the house, someone is going to kill him. He started a thread a while ago about finding a homeless man sleeping in his - unlocked, in Memphis - car, and how he scared the guy away.

Last week he started a thread in Misc. about how some stranger was following him in a truck while he was out deer hunting, and wasn't it great that he had his piece under the seat, even though he didn't have to use it?

During the Virginia Tech killings, he was advocating legislation requiring every college student to be armed. He also believes all children should be trained in firearms use. Someone asked him what the lower age limit should be, joking about "as soon as they can stand?" and he didn't disagree.

He has claimed in the past that he's just "joking." But that thread about you being drunk at the range and almost killing him is his idea of a joke.

And whenever you disagree with him about anything, he'll either put you on Ignore and send you nasty PMs that you can't reply to, or just scream "Liar!" and tell you to "Stop harassing me!" anytime you reply to one of his posts.

He's either a master troll, a fucked up kid, or someone who'll end up on the evening news under the banner of "neighbors said he was always so quiet" - or some combination thereof.

    Thanks. :D

Like I said, I don't know much of his posting history, but he obviously has a lot of "fans".

Maybe UA decided to show some of that maturity he talks about and not become the douchebag he places on ignore?

Oh Those! I thought you were talking about the metal heat shields on the inside of the rails. Yeah. I've just got those little rubber ladder looking things that inlay into the rails insteady of covering them up.

Just to add, he freely used to admit to having some major anger issues. Uncontrollable rage when he was younger and that he's been trying to deal with it

He also used to provide links to sermons he'd given. In one you could hear him lay into gays in about the first 5 minutes and draw real concern from the congregation, where upon he tried to say he meant gay with the spelling ghey.

My sense is that he'd like to be a good person, he just doesn't have the first clue on how to get there and his environment hasn't helped.

Pretty much. He's made a few attempts to be friendly, but he's already in such a big hole with so many people that they're not interested in reciprocating. I've seen him try starting friendly threads in Misc, but it usually ends up with angry lefties taking potshots at him. Oh, and he seems to have a folksy, "just bustin' your balls" sense of humour, which most people don't appreciate.

I think he'd probably do much better here, where assholery is generally accepted and/or expected.

No, if anything he's KIRK's dumber brother.

And his "ban" is a week off for accumulating five warnings in less than four months. He can't even behave himself in Misc, fer cryin' out loud.

That sure ain't what the guy that threw the lever said.
He wasn't banned from the board, just TNZ because of a "racist comment." In fact, he's posting quite regularly. :marathon:

Oh, right. They have that "banned from TNZ" rule, which theoretically is supposed to short circuit his sense of martyrdom.

Why don't you invite him to join here? You'll see what a charmer he is.

Of course, he'll implode within five minutes of hitting the Red Room, but it would be fun to watch.

He's ascared of me. Has me on Ignore most of the time. Loves to send me nasty PMs and then block me so I can't reply.

    As I say, he's a KIRK wannabe.

Now, if the owner of the board were to invite him, he might consider it an honor.

He also likes Shoes. They've met at the range a couple of times.

Of course, the first time he started a thread in TNZ claiming Shoes was drunk and almost killed him.

As I say, a real charmer.

Maybe Face could invite him. They're peers when it comes to obtuseness.

I would but cannot. I have been banned from TNZ for hardcore trolling. I mean, real hardcore - like baba style trolling - it was that bad!

Now, didn't he used to post here though, garamet? I could have sworn I remembered him having a WF account here.

Oh, I've seen examples of your TNZ trolling. Even baba could do better. Your duals go there just begging to get caught.

And, no, apostle has never been here. He's used to boards where he can run squealing to the mods every five minutes, which is why he's currently having so much trouble in TNZ.

Its kind of funny because the Indians I interact with on a somewhat regular basis refer to each other that way. Especially the females in how they reference male Indians.

TNZ is quickly reverting back to what it was before. At least judging by contents made to me by staff over there.

I called it though when T'Bonz made her announcement on Labor Day weekend. I do not think that the bulk of people who post there can handle an open forum like what it is right now. As soon as enough people over there bitch to the staff long enough it will revert back to the heavy handed enforcement that it was before.

I agree and argued that it wasnt. However others argued that it was and this was one of those cases where others didnt agree with me. It happens. But there is no way in hell that I'll ever throw anyone on staff under the bus publicly. Actually I didnt throw the lever either. I aint orange these days. I dont have the power. But considering that we have to work as a team I will continue to back up the staff in a situation like this.

yep that was me and before you finish hammering that last nail into yourself, why not re-read what I said again. I've stuck up for you in spades over there. But lately you've been acting like a grade A twat. My post to you was both meant to let you know that I am aware of everything going on from all sides (I.e. the brigade that hounds your ass for simply existing) and a way for you to figure out how to navigate the place with out digging yourself a deeper hole. You wanna look at it like Im gunning for you, thats your business, but know now that you couldn't be more wrong.

Some cant handle it, but most are able to. The place will never have the freedom of the RR or TK. As its been said before, the dynamics over there are different. To be blunt there are those who I consider to be a bunch of pansies who cant handle it. But most can. As for it reverting, I will continue to do my best to keep it from going back from where it is now. I dont make the rules, but I can offer my opinion and I do that often.

We're trying to keep it working properly. It is hard. It's irksome to have people who act like pussies when they're called on their bullshit. I don't mind people handing out shit as long as they can take the consequences. Too many want to hide behind the skirts of the mods after they do their bit of attacking.

FrontLine et al do a damned good job in there. We won't swing hard right again. We've had many discussions on the matter and I'm aware that just as there are people who want it even wider open, there are others who want to keep sneaking rules and exceptions in. I don't want that to happen as that is what we were trying to get away from.

It would help if people would take it for what it is. A place to be free and sometimes let loose. Not a place to do nothing but attack or troll. That's more TK territory.

But that's the hazards of the 'net. Not enough intelligence and way too many morons. We just try to work around it. Doesn't always work.

I do have mods to help me stay honest. With mods both lenient and strict, we try for that middle road.

Hey FrontLine, sorry I forgot to phone back. It's been insane around here. I have many extra people in this house now and boatloads of work. *ugh* on the latter, but it goes with the season. Merry Christmas to you and the Missus.

Sadly enough, I have no idea to what you're referring. I'm guessing that with the holidays, whatever happened has gone clean out of my head. And I really don't have time to check on it, at least not 'til my kids head back out of town. Apologies for that. Post it here or tweak me in a few days and I'll try to look at whatever and explain, if needs be, the thinking.

Unless it was just some stupid troll thing, someone playing so they could run back here and tattle back about how shitty we are. If that's the case, skip it.
