When you drop or spill something, how does your spouse react?

Oh, yeah. I get that too. I am supposed to read her mind and know that she all of a sudden decides to move something big and didn't jump in and help her, so the droppage is my fault. Also, have you ever got up early and cooked a nice breakfast, one you think your spouse will like. Only to have him/her wake up and taste one bite and without a word scrape it into the trash and walk out the front door and go get takeout and come back not speaking and go into a room and shut and lock the door?

The original post is a statement question. No answer is being sought. At best it's a solicitation for pity, worse it's a solicitation for abuse but more than likely it's just another crappy bid for attention of any sort.

    In other words, trolling.

It isn't that serious. The underlying thing is that she gets frusterated easily...especially with me. :D

I consider it a cry for help.

Well, that and a desparate bid for attention. :lookatme:

    :)

My wife is pretty good. About the only thing that makes her yell sometimes is the two year old. He's really got separation anxiety issues about her going back to work after a year off.

And lately that's transferred to me. It's nice to know he cares, but sometimes I don't want the kid banging on the door while I'm taking a dump. That's a man's time to be a man, you know. :) That and I get a lot of reading done that way.

    What? Too much information?

But I'm definitely the hot head in the family. If someone is yelling, it's probably me. Just the other day I was carrying in two 48 cases of Coke Zero, and one of them ripped open and dropped over the floor. I cursed like a sailor. Something I should work on.

Usually if I drop or break something I'm the one who gets upset at myself, and my wife gets mad at me for being upset with myself when she considers it no big deal.

Now my ex, that's a completely different story. I could drop something and not break it, and she'd still scream hysterically at me. Needless to say, that's one of the many reasons she's now an ex.

EP, the solution is simple -- dump the bitch. You're only deluding yourself that you need her. You don't. You don't need anyone, you only convince yourself that you do. I've learned the hard way that there's not a human being on this planet worth taking abuse from...period. I've had my share of fucked co-dependent relationships in my day and it was my fault for letting them last as long as they did cause I always hoped I could make things better. But the truth is that you can't. Either they treat you with respect or they don't, and they will never change. So you are the one who has to make the change by dumping her abusive ass and removing her completely from your life. Once you do you will quickly realize how much better off you are. Then if you choose to be in another relationship, take it slow and make sure that she is good for you.

My wife and I have a great relationship, but if it ever changes and she starts to treat me like shit, she's gonna be dumped so fast it will make her head spin.

I do that too :D I also have a habit of trying to carry too much - shopping for instance - and then when the bag inevitably tears, or I drop something, I start the expletives
Of course the correct thing to do would be to carry less, like only one case of Coke or less shopping, but that's too easy.

I think it's a man thing more than anything :o:

I don't believe I get bitched out at all for spilling things, as long as I clean up after myself.

Could be that I can't hear her over my own vulgar tirade at myself, the substance I spilled, and the universe that spawned us both.

    She did that? Seriously?

That is not normal behavior in any way, shape or form.

Have you spoken to her family and friends? They might have noticed her behavior and feel concerned about it as well.

Wow. Glad my wife ain't like that.

I won't tolerate that from her and she wouldn't from me.

They live in west virginia many miles from here. They know how she is, they saw her get really mad and have us ready to leave and go home because of something her mom said. i was caught in the middle of all that. yeah, I never know what she is gonna be like when she gets home. She might be nice of she might be pissed off and tell me how useless that I am, but she is probably right. She is a much better person than me. I need to do better to not upset people. I am always apologizing to her and many times she get upset at me for apologizing and mocks me. It hurts. I don't know what to do to make things right. that is all I want to do. See It has been hard. I might seem like I am whining or whatever but I think its hard on one spouse when another goes to college. At least it is too me and my wife has been going to college for over 10 years. Getting my ass chewed at test time or whatever. Never being able to enjoy a vacation, ever, ever.
