Use a phone while driving in the UK and go to jail for 2 years

Oh, bullshit. All this "What about them?!? " crap is just the transparent sniveling of spoiled fucking children who resent being denied access to their toys for even a minute.

Quit worrying about how fairly the punishments are doled out, and concentrate on not being a fucking menace on the road.

I'd go as far as whacking you ten times across the testes with a metal ruler every time you fuck up. You'd wish I just threw your ass in the pokey.

You're acting like endangering lives and property on the road is some harmless, mischeivious thing and everyone is just overreacting to ruin your fun.

I once got a ticket for "inatentive driving" when I rear-ended someone who was stopped at a merge. I was looking for oncoming traffic so I could merge smoothly. This was a spot I went thru every single day without a problem, but this ONE day there was driver stupid enough to come to a full stop at an easy merge in light traffic. So I hit the bitch. I told the cop the truth, and "innatentive driving" was the charge. So I imagine that's what the charge would say in a cell-phone induced crash in NJ.

As far as possible. Safety should be of utmost concern.

People have the right to be safe. From themselves if need be.

And personally, I still can't understand why anyone needs to talk on the phone while driving. The only time I use a cell in the car is when I'm gridlocked dead still in traffic, to tell the wife I'll be late. Note that I'm not moving at the time.

Ugh. Jesus. Cowards like that are almost as guilty as tail-gaters for causing traffic congestion. So fucking scared of their car and the road that they will sit there, holding everyone else up, until a 1/2 mile opening appears so they can timidly creep out onto the road.

There was a case in my local news a few months back about some idiot teenager that was texting late at night while driving and killed a three year old child.

Can't say I'm crying buckets of tears over this law, myself. And if and when they show that eating while driving is equally dangerous, ban that too.

They need this in America right now. Ban use of any phone in cars, hands free or not. The mind is not on driving where it should be and people are dying.

This law is stupid.
