With all the exploitation of gore, nudity, action, sexuality, cheesiness, one-liners and such...the question is: Ridiculous?...or ridiculously awesome? or both really... sorry, it's late and I just got done watching From Dusk Till Dawn. I personally love them.
What I like about B movies is anything can happen, nothing has to make sense, there doesn't even have to be an end, the movie can simply stop at any moment. (GR->MC)
What amuses me is that there are plenty of B movies that are far superior to the trite spat out these days that claim to be A movies. Unless someone can find me a B movie that was less entertaining than Police Academy 7 or Beverly Hill Cop III....
Most of John Carpenter's films qualify: They Live (a classic!) The Fog Vampires Halloween The Thing (although arguably it was created during his short A-list stint in Hollywood between this and Starman).
My vote for most pointless, awesome, and random nudity in a movie goes to Return of the Living Dead. Keep dancing, Trash.
In related news, the long-awaited sequel to The Sword and the Sorceror is finally on track and in pre-production!
The Nocturne and I watched this movie last night. Amazingly, awesomely bad, but beautifully perfect. The kind of movie today's mock/parody movies play off, with the bad lines and terrible acting, but at the same time it was great. And the last scene is actually shot and put together really well, it's just ridiculous. We both recommend it if you haven't already had the experience. (we found it in Kroger for $9.99, good luck.)
