I suppose it's possible that FOX was trying to be cute and was trying to rhyme "baby mama" and "Obama" without realizing what the phrase "baby mama" meant, or seeing that there's slightly racial overtones. I don't think, for instance, anyone would refer to Laura Bush as George's baby mama, or Hillary as Bill's baby mama (although I suppose one could make a better case for it there.)

    :wtf:

    Wow.

    Oh, and that...

What did they do, make out to an audiobook version of an Ann Coulter book? Title says all about the level in this 'discussion'.

I wonder if FOX will change direction if the Dems clean the Rep's plate in fall, tho.

I doubt it. Whether you'd see them as being more balanced than most of the alternatives or just money-grubbing right-wingers, they've got a huge audience doing just what they're doing.

Well, the question is whether they're biased towards neo-conservatives, or biased towards power. Aurora might well have a point.

Similarly, it will be interesting to see whether Stewart/Colbert are more biased towards liberals or towards the underdogs.

I think the fox "brand" will always be associated with the right wing (much like CNN is the opposite). Don't think who is in office will effect the brand. It might change what they can charge for advertising, maybe even raising rates.

I don't know if you've ever listened to Rush Limbaugh. He's made the point many times that it doesn't matter to his show who wins an election. He's able to make his points and gather an audience in either a Democratic or Republican atmosphere. He's been around long enough to show that to be true so I do believe his point.

Fox, though, is supposed to be an alternative news source. They, it seems, will always have competitors who tilt left so they shouldn't have to change much, if at all, to keep ratings. Besides, as Rush and CNN have already shown, popularity with the left isn't necessary to be a financial success.

And they live a long time. And they have a lot of money to pay advertisers, And that he pretty well resurrected AM radio single-handedly.

But I guess I shouldn't be surprised at your reaction. Anyone who doesn't agree with you is a "sucker", right?

Add into that they are a channel that is only available through subscription and they look pretty good popularity wise.

Dang! You're right. CNN's usually free with basic cable but Fox you have to pay extra to get.

This is exactly what we are headed to with an Obama presidency. Any and all negative comments about him, his family or his policies will immediately be touted as "racism" by his followers and his administration. It will be used as a way to farther shave away at our first amendment rights. People will be afraid to mention politics or the president at work for fear of such PC bullshit.

I will also say that they are no more biased than bodies like CNN, or for that matter CBS, NBC, or ABC. Each of those networks have their version of news talk shows and such. CBS has 60 Minutes, which is dominated by lefties, NBC, has Chris Matthews, ABC has 20/20, CNN has a number far left folks hosting shows, Fox has shows like Hannity's America. The funny thing is lefties and righties alike seem to have no problem paying for the channel to be provided in their cable tv or satellite line up.

I think you're being entirely too generous. They knew exactly what it meant, and did it to get yucks from the knuckle-draggers in their target demographic.

My cable company (don't know why) packages CNN/Headline News with minimal basic cable. When I used to have satellite, it was the same way with extra for Fox.

On Rush's show he played the tape of Miss Lord Obama calling the new Savior her Baby's Daddy..so I guess She's a racist too.

But as said that race card is going to get a good work out if Lord Obamas is elected President..anybody that disagrees with anything about the our new Savior will be labeled a Racist and probably sent of to the new re-education camps the Dems will set-up.

As for the future of FOX and other Conservative outlets like Rush if the Savior is elected..the Dems are already making plans to bring back the so called "Fairness Doctrine" to silence Conservative Talk Radio and it won't be much of a strech to think they'll to do something similer to silence FOX news and Right-wing Internet sites(St.Hillary said She thought their should be some sort of control over the Internet and I'm sure Lord Obama agrees)..and if you don't think this can happen just look at Canada and Europe(or American Universities)where Free speech is under assult if you dare say anything that's ruled not PC.

I heard that sound bite as well on Rush this morning with Michelle calling Obama her "babies daddy". I don't see the big deal and I don't understand why all these folks think they need to come out and apologize every time some twat gets offended, like when Cheney made that west virgina joke. Every god damn west virginian I've ever known tells that same damn joke.

I love how up in arms the different liberals get when talking about Fox News and Rush, when all conservatives have are talk radio and one news network...

Everything needs a balance... let both sides speak.

If they had their way, there would be no opposition to their way of thinking. The whole "given enough time, liberals will always become conservative". No one likes change when they finally get their way. Hypocrites.

I keep hearing the same battlecry... that the mass media is biased, but I have yet to see anyone put forth one shred of evidence other than the the voting of journalist.

Please don't bring up Keith Olberman. I admit that he is far left, but IMHO, he is a response to Fox News and not vice versa... and he hardly makes up the majority of media outlets.

I cannot believe that you can say this. Unless you were living under a rock, how could you miss how much coverage was given to the Democrat primaries as apposed to the republican ones in the news. The main stream media in this country is all for the Democrats, there is no balanced and objective reporting anymore when it comes to politics.
