Most public figures aren't going to actively engage in trolling themselves. Garamet chose to be a troll, and got trolled in return. You come into the Red Room, that's the life you pick.

There is nothing wrong with the rules as they are.

The fact that Cass and Garamet are "founding members" and in fact, the founder, does not make them above the rules. The fact they have a few days to cool off is not the end of the world.

Garamet, has in fact discussed Jack here in the past, but prunings has made posting links difficult.

Personally, frankly, even I think some of you go too damn far with it. And most of us are protective of our loved ones...I can see why it pisses her off sometimes. His views on Above the Swamp are one thing, but some of things that have been said about the guy have been pretty nasty.

WF rules are also about having some common sense. And common sense says if you don't want your real name used, you don't use it as a promotional tool on a site where you don't want people to call you that. Expecting the genie to be put back in the bottle is ludicrous...and it's even more so since Garamet herself said she didn't care that much, and she did not sanction Aurora's actions on her behalf.

And on a personal note: I think the trolling with her name is boring as hell. Yes, we know who the fuck she it, thanks for the refresher. Trolling to the point where she is the only fucking topic of conversation...even more boring than watching paint dry. And it's a two way street...her socio-psychological bullshit and bringing up her opposition in almost every post is as thrilling as watching water boil. Can everyone get some new material please? :jayzus:

    Why bother changing anything?

Getting trolled with her real name didn't seem to bother garamet, do we really need to tweak the rules just because a few people decided that they needed to feel outraged for her?

Personally, I never respected her enough to call her by her real name.

Call me crazy, but for some reason, I get the impression over the past few days that Mewa doesn't like Kirk, Poodle and Number_6. I think I'm getting those vibes. It's really hard to tell when you're playing your cards so close to your vest.

    Hmmmm.

Some of those threads were started before the current drama.

But I promise to start some about you. Ok, sweetie?

Some posters might not want to be referred to by their real names anymore, which is why they had their user name changed? It's called decency, something I wouldn't expect you to understand.

And just as information from the Blue Room is not "fair game", some of us think that information from other forums shouldn't be "fair game" in the Red/Gray Room.

That is just getting legalistic and silly.

Trying to remember who said what and where would become a nightmare for everyone. People forget what forum they are in when repping, let alone trying to keep track of all that.

I generally don't go to the Blue Room for this very reason, unless I must because of a reported post or a poster specifically asks me to read their thread. I don't want to make a mistake and post something I shouldn't.

I think it was pretty clear that while not technically against the rules, what KIRK was doing was over the line. Maybe there needs to be some sort of discretionary system, where if things get out of hand, they can ask someone to desist from some behaviour or other.

How was it over the line?

She shared her name here and people used it.

It was certainly boring and annoying but it was not "over the line".

Using it repeatedly and in full for every response is not the same as merely "using" it.

So that was cool when KIRK was adding Donner to Garamets name all over the place?

Because garamet didn't have a problem with it. It's hard to feel the least bit bothered when the person who was experiencing the "harassment" didn't think of it as "over the line."

And do you think that was a good move on KIRK's part?

Complain. Others might have but she didn't.

    Yes. :bergman:

The routine might've been getting a bit dull but the payoff was spectacular, it finally brought the Kirk/garamet wars to an end.

I been following your posts on this issue.

Is it your view that KIRK is the good guy in all this?

Did you think she told KIRK to use it all the time and even add that other guys name along with the usual insults?

Now I know Garamet did her stuff but how do you totally ignore KIRK?

Why I don't blame Kirk? Because I got involved in the :roundabout: with Garamet too if I didn't watch what I said.

I mean it was annoying and all, but Garamet pulls that stunt with everyone. Tamar, me, Bock, Sokar....she does it with all of us. Kirk didn't stop like we did though.
