Anyone else find this show strangely addicting? I started watching it about half way through season 1 and have now obtained seasons 1+2 in their entirety and have watched them all atleast twice. The storyline is pretty arc heavy for a kids show and has some serious emotion at times.
I watch it religiously and have since episode one. Great show with episodic content and character development.
I was burned out on anime until I saw an episode of this show (I think it was the 2nd or 3rd ep), and I watch it whenever I can, but I'm usually at work. I like the animation, and the storyline is strong too. -J.
I saw the first episode and have not missed one since. Nick is unsure what to do because they aimed the show at 6-11 year olds at first but its most popular with teens and early 20s people. 4.4 Million people watched the 2nd season finale! That's gotta be a ton of viewers for Nick.
It is a great show. I download new episodes over XBox Live and watch them. So glad my kid introduced me to it!
It's a great show. My kids got me started on it. My youngest still watches all the time, my oldest probably doesn't think it's "cool" anymore, but will still watch if he's not otherwise occupied. I enjoy it and agree with you all, but I don't get to see as many episodes as I'd like.
"burned out on anime"?! I've never heard a more blasphemous statement. I've been watching anime pretty hard core since you could only get it on bootleg VHS. There is so much variety within anime there's just no room to be tired of it. Lately my PSP is full of episodes of new stuff. Elfen Lied, DeathNote, Fate Stay/Night, Hellsing, Ergo Proxy. Ergo Proxy alone is an amazing piece of work. and even tho' Avatar isn't strictly anime, it's a good show.
I hear a bunch of fans complain about their batshit crazy shippers in this fandom over at a fanfic comm I'm at LJ. Makes me grateful for being an Enterprise fan
Oh, it can happen. Just like being burned out on Star Trek or pizza. Particularly when you've had the inferior of both, far too often. -J.
honestly, I've always assumed this crowd was in no way an Avatar crowd. too stuck up in a sci fi sense to watch a "kid's show" sorry, just how I see things here on the Forge. that being said, just watched the series finale and have to say that it was the best ending a series has been given since Babylon 5. so, now you may chop me up for thinking you're all a bunch of mightier than thou sci fi fans. with any luck, Lanzman will protect my poor little self. or maybe teh baba.
^^^ My kids watch it faithfully and I'm impressed with it but the days of me being able to divide my attention and know what was happening on a TV show are long since past so I missed a lot of details. Plus we were out tonight so I missed over half of the finale. I'd mourn that more if I had been paying attention all week.
How so? There are many of posters here, myself at the top of that list, who follow anime. Okay. Now please, do tell us your thoughts on yaoi.
