Phone reports are almost worthless in court unless they're recorded (example: 911 calls).

The vast and overwhelming majority of law enforcement agencies won't take an official report over the phone. Sure the agent may take some notes, but he won't fill out an I/O. You've either got to go down there or get them to come to you.

You may not think you can help more, but you never know.
I think it's great he did this. Tips like this from average people just might help stop a criminal. If more people did this (got involved) it might help make a difference, instead of leaving everything to the authorities, then bitching because of the high crime rate.

I have a friend who's heavily involved in Chicago theatre. There's someone else heavily involved in Chicago theatre who has the exact same name as she does. And it's a rare name. Coincidences happen.

You have a someone with a rare name, with an accent who is wanted by the FBI for raping a patient. You have someone with the same name and type of accent calling Apostle, refusing to give him a number for him to call back yet giving him a phone number that is listed at a medical facility. Then the guy calls again and the number is from the area where the person has ties too. Probably used a three way call or some other type of thing.

So the guy is a master criminal, yet uses his real name to make purchases. And he's on the run from the FBI, but is either at the same medical facility where he worked when he raped someone, or is working at another medical facility that hired him and didn't perform the most cursory of background checks.
