Due to popular demand, the greatest place on earth. Yeah, I built those. Frank Slide....look it up on Google, I'm too lazy to explain what happened. And, my playground.... Only had a couple....strangely enough. Guess when I'm back there, I have better things to do than take pictures. From my back deck.... Recent snowfall.....its all gone now though. And a picture to attest to my interest in windmills. Bought back in 1990, the first windmills in our area.....brought in by my family, and been running for almost 20 years now. I suck at taking pictures though.
Yeah, I don't go for big cities. Although I won't have a choice come next fall. I made my mark in this country.....everywhere you look you can see a windmill I helped put up. Something to be proud of, thats for sure.
Just do it like this: [spoiler ]<-- deliberate space to not make it an actual spoiler. Image tag goes here. deliberate space -->[ /spoiler]
Alberta's beautiful country. Took a VIARail trip from Toronto to Edmondton once, then a drive down Rte. 2 to Calgary. Got a kick out of the deer standing on the hillsides watching the train go by, tame as you please.
During the summer, almost daily. During the winter, because of the blowing snow, lots of times you can't see the mountains. Only thing I don't like about this country is the Chinook wind that we get in the winter. -30 C....and 5 hours later, its +15. Makes for a mudhole basically all winter long.
Yep. Driving through town the other day, almost ran into a couple deer that were crossing the street on a busy street. They didn't run over either....just slowly walked on by.
Damn, I have beautiful mountains within view (about 50 miles away across a bay) but you can only see them 1 day in every 5 and only really clearly a few days a month... Damn that gulf stream........
You are going to need some more propellers if you are going to move that mountain. Beautiful pics by the way.
That sucks. You'd probably appreciate them more than I do. I've seen them basically everyday of my life save the few years I lived in the states. You become used to them being there, and its pretty funny how family from Washington can't stop raving about them.
Thanks! If I had a decent picture of me....I'd post it, but the only ones that I have on my computer are a few years old, and I don't look like that anymore. So... And all the pictures that were taken at work are gone. Too bad. There were a couple good shots of me dangling from the end of a 100' blade.
