    I don't like the BNP.

But I'm not sure it's right to "out" them all like this. If it's covered by privacy rights, that should apply to all, including far right fuckwits.

They should look at this in a positive manner - it shows they're as equally qualified and capable as Labour with protecting data.

While I agree that this is a terrible breach of privacy regulations, I can't help laughing that the scum who have regularly posted names on Redwatch, calling on members to beat up said individuals, are now bleating that they feel in danger.
I can't help agreeing with the poster at the Guardian's Cif site who said that the best thing that could happen would be for all of them to brick it for the next two weeks, only to realise that nobody cares enough to beat them up or put bricks through their windows. ;)

I don't know about that. I mean, these are just stereotypes. The same stereotype that says that you need to be white, poor and uneducated to be racist...
However you're right in saying that registering for a party need more commitment than just voting. But I bet that most people registered there don't consider themself as racist or xenophobs.

A lot of it depends on the location, the BNP find a lot of the satellite towns good areas to get members, and they very much target the disaffected, low educated, low-pay/unemployed types, who don't seem to realize they're in the shit because they made a number of unwise choices in life. They also used to be associated with a lot of the C18 and White Wolves lot, and also have affiliations with a lot of the football gangs.

That pretty much covers the Chavs.

As for the Little Englanders, they are a wide church - from the blue-rinsed OAPs to the intellectuals feeling left behind by a country they no longer truly recognize. I have some sympathy towards them, social changes in the UK have been badly handled by the government (central and local).

The BNP membership is pretty sterotypical of those types, and so are a chunk of their voters.

Although you'd be surprised at some of those who do vote BNP, some Asians who are integrated (which is part of the reason the BNP is trying to shift from pro-white to pro-British) and people who are trying to hammer home they want change. Although the latter have been proved to be pissing in the wind, after a bunch a of politicians further disaffected them by telling them they hadn't voted BNP for the reasons they said they did, thus showing our politicians really don't understand what's going on. Sad really.

Oh I don't know, I know a fair number of BNP supporters and most of them are quite happy to admit they cannot stand certain, or even all, non-whites and immigrants.

I just love that fact that the BNP are now suddenly all in favour of the EU Human Rights legislation when it applies to keeping their racist fuckwit names off the internet but have been actively campaigning against Britain's involvement with the EU for years...

Actually, I've just thought of something to justify the BBC licence fee other than Doctor Who and Top Gear (and let's face it Jezza and the gang are running out of ideas)... Jeremy Kyle. Nick Griffin. Death Match.

Griffin's got the weight advantage but Kyle has the eyes of a killer. Either way, the British public win.

Well it needs something, given the BBC has relegated the good stuff (like Meades) to the arse-end of digital, whilst giving the departure of John Sargeant from Strictly Come Dancing the sort of coverage normally reserved for papal assassinations :marathon:

Newsnight occasionally descends into outright farce, and we have Hole in the Wall, possibly the worst bit of telly ever.

Mind the current beeb regime does have it's upsides - the screen description of Brian Paddick as 'Ex Ass Commissioner' was like something out Brass Eye.

I don't suppose there's a screen shot of that anywhere is there?
