Neither is Rush or Hannity, however they are movers and shakers. Finding a figure to coalesce around, and form a coherent response to the Dems is important, it doesn't matter where that person comes from. The Party is much larger than just the House and Senate.
She's got a bright future as a FOX News anchor. If she doesn't go down that path she will end up like Dan Quayle.
But then what does that say about President Obama? He didn't fill out his only term as a US Senator... How is this any different?
Because he was busy advancing his political career rather than smothering it with a pillow. If you think Obama would resign because he "accomplished his goals" or whatever rambling excuse Bailin' Palin gave you're kidding yourself.
Who am I? A poster here you drooling moron. And what I mean is this: The loony left has been picked on by the tightie righties for years, at least here on the WF. They rarely go off the deep end though. But...when you guys get a little, you piously proclaim your innocence, and (laughably) try to convince each other of some higher moral ground. Being a member of neither party, It's amusing most of the time, but it does get rather annoying as well. Show some balls, and take the ribbing like the loony does on a regular basis.
He became President. There's a difference between resigning a Governorship because things are "too hard", and resigning your Senate seat because you won the United States Presidency. J.
I hope she uses this time to get moving with her porn career. At 45, she can't maintain that MILFish hotness much longer.
Let me just ask this: If Palin ever says that transexuals are not what God intended humans to be or whatever she might say, would Shep/Nova still be such a blind supporter of her?
Blind? who the fuck are you to suggest my interest in her is "blind"? Rephrase your question a bit more respectfully and we'll talk about it.
I think the point she was making - poorly phrased - was not so much about the resigniation per say, but the amount of time each had spent in statewide elective office before becoming president. In other words, if Palin had been running for prez and won, she'd have had roughly the same amount of experience in a "big" office as he had. Obviously there is a difference in moving out and moving up. But the point is that he IS president while having entered the race with pitifully little experience. Supporting that outcome undermines the notion that her (lack of) experience by itself disqualifies her.
That doesn't bother me, though. While I have never been a fan of hers, and would have been disappointed if she'd won (me voting for Obama after all), I would hope, like all who become President, that we would be in good hands, with steady leadership. In this case, however, it has nothing to do with her resignation, so I don't know what Peach was aiming for. J.
Yes, blind. Your reaction to it suggests that. We all remember your vicious attacks at anyone even pointing out slight faults of Palin. You know the fucking question. Answer it or not, your prerogative.
Holy crap, now Palin's threatening to sue people because she doesn't like the media coverage. And you guys were calling her the next Ronald Reagan.
Good for her. Maybe if idiots had to suffer consequences for putting out speculation as fact, we might get some actual journalism in this country again.
Bullshit. Some of the negatives i actually agree (and agreed) with. what I argued against was stupid bullshit attacks. If you want to make your case, make it well - I will give you a wide berth. Say idiotic things (like for instance she actually didn't know what a VP does) and I'll challenge that. Given your childish attitude, I deem your question unworthy of my attention. dismissed.
And yet...you asked. Here's a clue for you precious - being like me means I have to put up with WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY more "mental distress" than your schoolyard name-calling is going to accomplish. so just know that the only value you get out of that weak shit is in the joy you feel at the sound of your own cyber-voice because otherwise it's a null program.
Hey maybe having to spend money on frivolous defense will make some of the asshole's who've filed the false claims about her perk up.
^ Well that's good, but it just adds more to the mystifying reason why she would just resign without prior notice. J.
Or maybe she is telling you how it is. She got her job done and is moving on to the next job. Maybe she doesn't see a political job as a life long position, maybe just maybe she sees it as, I came in I got done what I thought needed to be done and the best way to help the people now is to do something else. I'll tell you what, I'd much rather have a politician like that than our normal, I'll stay here till the end of time just because I can politician.
Uh...she couldn't even stick around to the end of her term. Her job that she was hired for, therefore, was not over.
Maybe that is what is wrong in our politics today. To many people stick around just because. Are you telling me if I get a major project done that was supposed to take 4 years, but I was able to accomplish it in 3 that I should just sit around my office for another year doing nothing? Or should I go find another job to do that would benefit my employer?
I hate the mentality we have in politics now. You know what? When the founders came together to play government, they went home to their families, farms, businesses, and private interests when they got the nasty business of government done. It's very hard to stay free as a country when you have people working full time to enslave you. I like that Palin left early. I mean, why sit around and come up with new rules? Isn't that what government does when it gets bored?
What is this "major project" that a governor does? It's not like they hired her to build a tunnel and gave her four years to do it but she only needed three. A state always needs a governor. Every day there's a need. She the chief executive of Alaska. It's not like her job just suddenly stopped and she was a seat warmer. She walked away. It's that simple. She didn't finish a "project".
If that's your argument, why not stay and do nothing for another couple years? I mean, her quitting doesn't solve your "problem". The next guy's just gonna do his job and...make rules. Whatever the fuck that means.
She finished being productive for the state of Alaska. Her administration was doing more fighting frivolous lawsuits and wasting money than anything really important. The best thing was to take herself out of the mix. And that's all there is too it. Maybe if we had more politician's willing to do this we would get some better ones in or at the very least we could go back to a time when real people with real jobs were able and ready to run for an office. Truthfully I'm really bored and don't really care either way. I'm to the point that there are no good politician's left and I generally say fuck it all, and ignore politics since all it's going to do is piss me off to see people pulling this country down the drain.
