    Well, see, you had to go and open your dopey mouth, now it's going to get worse, and worse, and worse until you rip your own skin off in bath-mat sized sheets.

    No one actually cares what YOU hate on.

    You're not anything important. Just a glitch in the system, you are. An aberration.

    The people didn't know what the fuck they wanted but were steered by the mind-control media machine to vote for the Socialist Anti-Christ like the sheep they are.

    The high elite at the helm of the vast mainstream media machine wanted BHO elected, so they saw to it that it was done.

    No. That cat has 100 times the motivation and potential he will ever have.

    With that cats one role in The Matrix, it has worked more than Diacanu will the rest of his life.

    Scott Rasmussen:
    "Democrats win elections by reaching out to moderates, while Republicans win elections by reaching out to conservatives."

    There are several implications in this. First, both parties should not be struggling over the same voters. Each is trying to rally a different group. Democrats want voters with no committed ideology, while Republicans want conservatives from all demographics.

    Consider John McCain, and Republican candidates before him who've run -- and lost -- from the middle. It doesn't do you any good to pick up half the moderates if you disaffect a big chunk of the conservative majority, does it?

    No shit. After eight years of the media telling us Republicans are the anti-Christ, if the moderate to left-leaning voter has a choice between two candidates who are for a bigger, more intrusive government and economic stagnation who are they going to choose? The handsome, young, charismatic black man running on the Democratic ticket or the 175 year old white Republican ex-fighter pilot with skin cancer? Gee that's a tough one. :hmm:

    I never said that politicians won the contest solely on their ability to smear the opposition as part of their campaign (or for their campaign, whiever way you wanna look at it). I simply pointed out that it was part and parcel of politics, on which point you agreed with me.

    This barely requires an answer. The party being criticised will differ depending on which channel ya listen to. Obama and Biden were criticised and had the piss taken out of them as well as Palin, but it was easier to target Palin at the time because:
    -she was the first female candidate;
    -She came from the same party as Bush who had an unfortunate habit of making silly remarks;
    -She also had an unfortunate habit of making silly remarks;
    -She didn't appear to be properly vetted prior to her deployment as VP choice.

    What, like Reagan? Or do people forget that he crossed the aisle and stole a number of votes from Jimmy Carter?

    All this "we weren't conservative enough" nonsense is ludicrous, it's like when monks would scourge themselves when something bad would happen in repentance. John McCain was a shitty candidate, not just a shitty Republican.

    If you nominated the Paragon of the Grand Old Party, who crushed illegals with one foot and kicked abortionists and terrorists with the other, he wouldn't get elected! Do you know why? BECAUSE IF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY COULD WIN BY ONLY CATERING TO THEIR PARTY, THEY'D HAVE WON EVERY ELECTION EVER.

    Im not sure any Republican would have won.
    The mixture of the last 2 terms plus the fever over Obama meant that it was unlikely zombie Reagan would have won.

    Because they sucked balls and had no charisma.

    It took a novelty to get the Dems back into the White House.

    So is "environmental crusader" or "that guy from Futurama."

    1. Do you guys think that the economic crisis would have turned out differently under a Republican president? I really doubt it. That thing was rolling already. Belief in the healing hands of the market which caused this in the first place is quite exclusive these days.

    2. I think that people were just fed up by eight years of corruption, stupid unwinnable wars, being fed lies without end and the general decline of the "shining beacon" into a paranoid, torturing nation.

    If anything, Obama has made the USA respectable again. If that's all he will have done by 2012 you all can be proud IMHO.

    It did happen under a Rep pres.

    Better policies over the past 9 months could certainly have led us today to substantially better conditions.

    If by "the market" you meant "competent regulation" then you are not completely clueless.

    This isn't Italy.

    The jury is out, though even many on the right will grant you that it was stupidly managed for quite some time.

    Yawn. Link? Still the ol' Uranium from Niger, perhaps? Snerk.

    America is the standard against which others are measured. But that "standard" has been taking steeper hits in the past 6 mos. than at any similar period in the past 9 years.

    Just because your paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get ya. Just saying.

    Iraq and Saddam and Uday and Qusay disagree!

    America is like 1000th on the list, dipshit.

    Well, he hasn't been quite Carteresque yet, so I suppose we Americans can be grateful. A policy of uncertainty and cautious steps isn't quite as pathetic as revealing that we have no intention, ever, of using force in support of a policy.

    Actually, he's been fully indoctrinated with leftie programming; that's why it sounds reasonable to you.

    You're 100% right. It's the nature of the campaign for both sides to smear each other especially the VP picks.

    But last time I checked the 2008 campaign ended November 4, 2008 when Barack Obama won the election.

    Care to explain why we are in July of 2009 and the left is still smearing Palin on a daily basis?

    Care to explain why no other VP or POTUS wannabe has ever gone through what Palin is going through after losing?

    Those on the left can spin any which way you want on the subject but the left fears Palin. They fear the top Republican fundraiser at this time. They fear the one Republican who can draw huge crowds right now. They fear she will run in 2012 and win. In fact the fear gets even greater as time goes on and Obama does things that make him look worse then the previous day.

    I don't think they fear Sarah Palin, just like schoolyard bullies don't fear weaker children.
