Sorry, but Teddy rammed through this legislation to fuck Romney. It should stay in his honor. But it wont.

Are some of the comments rough and classless? You betcha. But it aint no different in TNZ or do you forget the shit that was attempted about Reagan, or what about Novak? Then lets remember the people that were pissed that other people were celebrating Arafat's death. Sorry but this is the entire net, its just that in this case its touched a nerve with you for some reason. You sound like Inspector Renault in Casablanca when he discovers gambling going on in Rick's.

I know, I know. I always have a problem with people dancing on someone's grave. I had a problem with it in TNZ when they did it to Bob Novak, and particularly when they did it to Reagan. I just can't curse people with the hopes of having a degenerative disease that causes suffering, like cancer or alzheimers. Put it this way, I'd rather be shocked that there is little civility in the RR rather than resigned to it. If I were resigned to it, that would speak great volumes about not only the Red Room, but myself for staying even when it's so bad.

Ok but then why stay in TNZ under the same rationale? My advice, recognize that this is life, roll your eyes at it, and carry on. But dont act like all of a sudden the behavior is enough to drive you from one board when the exact same behavior isnt enough to drive you from another board simply over which sacred cow is being slain.

We came here to be able to say, "I'm glad Ted kennedy is dead," without fear of retribution. You may not like the statement or agree with it, but you don't have to like it or agree with it. Nor is it a reason to leave. Blow the bullshit off and move on. We ALL say stuff that somebody doesn't like.

Our reason for existance it is. [IMG]

But since he's a democrat, he can at least still vote.

Diminshing the imaginary friend of infantilized old men who lie to children for a living.

    A terrible crime, apparently.

They should have a state funeral for Sen. Kennedy.

His casket could be an Oldsmobile Delmont 88, and they could push it off a bridge for burial at sea. :salute:

We all say stuff that people don't like, and we should have the freedom to do so.

At the same time, none of us would stick around if a majority, or even a sizeable minority started saying things that we thought were classless, hypocritical or evil.

Don't worry, I'm not. [WF collective groan ;)]
I think by now it's obvious when I say that it's at the height of either shock/annoyance/frustration/etc., I love this place, just like I love going to TNZ. I've been here so long leaving would just be weird. It wouldn't feel right. Plus, who else are you going to use to get into heaven? Somebody's got to vouch for you pirates and ne'er do wells. :D

I am immortal. I have inside me blood of kings. :?:
I, too, am saddened by Ted Kennedy's passing. Cancer, in its final stages is particularly painful and degrading. It is too bad he couldn't have lived on for many more years. :cylon:

It's called, at the very least, vehicular manslaughter, and when drunk, becomes vehicular murder.
At least that's the way that the prosecutors are treating it these days.
In fact, there is one DA in the New England area that charges all drunk drivers with 1st degree murder.
