I mean, OK thinking, calling 911 in an effort to throw the police off the trail. But not when you've bludgeoned 7-8 people to death. Killing 1 or 2 people that way is messy work that's almost certain to leave physical evidence linking you to the crime. Killing that many people, they're almost sure to catch you.
