http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/?fbid=tjzPObBoiE8 So let's see: 1. Illiterates and foreigners elected Obama, not a majority of the American people. 2. More "Socialism" boogey-man talk 3. Used Obama's middle name to scare the masses into thinking he's a covert Muslim terrorist. 4. Obama will destroy the Constitution (gee, didn't Bush do enough damage to it the past 8 years? ) 5. Calling for a "revolution" like some tinpot South American military general looking to stage a coup. 6. Attacking the "cult of multiculturalism", cause, you know, America is only for White Christian Anglo-Saxons. 7. Beating the "real Americans vs. fake Americans" drum, telling the faithful they have to take back the country from the invaders. This is a dying demographic lashing out in ever more bitter angry rhetoric over their slow, inexorable loss of power and influence in America. Pathetic. :unconvinced:
There will always be people in power that a signifigant portion of the population don't agree with. That's democracy, baby! It's up to you to vote them out next election.
I'm hoping the former. A revolution back to the fundamentals of what created civilization in the first place is exactly what we all need. What the world needs right now is another Alexander the Great. One voice, One order, One directive.
I take it, then, that these statements were why Tancredo is not President? Also, one would assume that if President Obama were a Muslim terrorist, he would have detonated by now.
:unconvinced: Excuse me, but I think you meant to say: Illiterates and foreigners elected Obama, the majority of the American people.
So the Democrats have ACORN and the Black Panthers, and the Republicans have the TEa Party and nuts like that guy. So?
So the left completely owns and determines the sphere of public discourse. The right has to denounce and distance itself from its fringe while the left can romanticize its fringe. Can you imagine a movie being made about George Lincoln Rockwell like the ones made about Malcom X, Che, or Harvey Milk?
The shoe is currently on the other foot. Some of the lefties can keep telling themselves that ACORN isn't completely corrupt, or that it doesn't matter that it is, but it will come back to bite them in the ass. Shit like that is already starting to do just that, and all they can do is whine and cry about how horrible it is that they lost a traditionally Democratic seat because they're too stupid to let it even dawn on them as to why that happened. The right has its own issues, and this is one of them. Whining and crying about it does nothing.
I think the principles that the TEA party stands for will last. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/02/05/tea-party-movement-produces-new-political-organization/ I think a lot of people agree with these and its been a long time coming. I would love to see a totally new political party. I think that the two we have are beyond redemption.
Why is that some Dims get all in a frenzy about Obama being called a socialist? And why is it that some Dims see it as racist, horrific, the end of the world etc etc. It's hardly something new that started with Obama, as Republicans have been calling Democrats socialists for decades now. So please, don't expect the rest of us to think "Gosh, look how horrible Republicans are, they're calling Obama a socialist." ZOMG, Republicans called Obama a socialist!?!?! Really?? Well, big fucking deal. Now shut up, and grow the fuck up already.
I dunno about "revolution" but we do need to get back to the stuff that builds civilization rather than allowing it to further degrade to the point of collapse. We are going the way of Rome, and unless we get back to basics, we're in for a dark age. Which is not a fun thing if the warlords have nukes.
Without saying something that will get the FBI called to my house "again," let me just say: GOD SAVE THE KING GOD SAVE THE KING GOD SAVE THE KING
