Too lazy to look for the old thread but, in short, here's the status: I've held it way too long and it's killing the buzz. I had intended to hand it off when I was in memphis but was providentially hindered and now it will be at least a couple of months before I'm likely to be up there again (at least) Apostle may yet pass near to my domicile in which case I can hand it off....and Bear and his missus are sometimes down this way and they have an inventation to pick it up as well. Anyone else who's passing through or near North MS is invited to let me know (MD to participate at Shiloh again maybe?) Failing all else, next time EP comes down I'll pass it back to him and he can run it over the mountain to MD. In any case - just wanted to bump the conversation because I feel kind of guilty I've failed to move it for so long.
Possible people I could hand it off to: 1. Bear 2. Shoes 3. Anyone near Dallas 4. Dayton 5. Anyone near Fargo, ND or Minneapolis 6. Anyone near Baton Rouge or New Orleans 7. Anyone in MA or surrounding?
"wordforge book" gives no relevant results on Google, maybe it was one of the threads that was lost? What is this anyway?
The Wordforge Book: Odds of a Baba post not including any misspellings: 15:2 against Odds of the top 10% of wordforge smileys getting less than 95% of the wordforge smiley usage: 28:1 against Odds of Borgs being unbanned while the board remains with current ownership: 99:1 against Odds of Muad Dib living out his most secret Sarah Palin fantasies sometime this year: 100% You can't start a Wordforge Book thread that isn't about taking bets!
I was wondering what was going on with that thing. I don't know when I will be back in Corinth, it might be a long time. Someone from Memphis might be you best bet.
I think the thinking behind it is personal connections. Apostle tells me he occasionally passes down 72 to my north so he might do that before I'm in Memphis.
Oh, I understand the thinking and I approve. But if it's going to be a while, it might be a way to get the process going again. It's a judgment call, I suppose.
I would have been traveling through the plains region several times this spring for cycling races, but recent events have put the kibosh on that idea.
