It's gotta suck to be a mediocre troll. I mean consider: Shitty trolls, everyone can tell they are trolling. So they sucker in a handful of stupid people while everyone else points and laughs. No, they don't get many people to take the bait, but at least everyone knows what they're up to. They are considered a "Troll." On the other end of the spectrum, the really good trolls can mobilize the whole village, pitchforks and torches in hand, to try and hunt them down and kill them. But they're cunning and savvy and can often elude capture for years, pushing buttons the whole time. Again, pretty much everyone can tell they're trolls, and they get tons of recognition. But in the middle are the "just average" trolls. This must be a truly sad and lonely life. Their trolls are good enough that average and below average posters don't even realize they are trolls and instead make an effort to respond in some meaningful way to their trolls. Meanwhile the intelligent posters see the trolling for what it is and just ignore it. Either way they get no recognition and no reaction. Or at least a fairly limited one. That's gotta suck, to spend your time, cooking up a master troll only to get one or two sincere responses to your post and then have the thread quietly die.
Doesn't really matter. As long as one or two people fall for it, it's usually worth the paltry investment of effort.
And WF has no Lost Trolls Room. For trolls that have been pwnd. Poor devils. That's banishment for the banned. Its all in the TOS (or could/should/would be).
