Now Facebook has become more dangerous in that way, but back when I was in school everyone put parties up on Facebook. Now, people (some of my friends were able to stretch their college years a bit more than me.... BASTARDS!) make it invite only, so you can't get the details unless a Party Admin invites you.

I just realized we got enough to form a Wordforge group if someone had the time and/or inclination. Would make finding each other on here easier.

Facebook is one social networking site too many. Actually I am currently trying to disappear from the internet. I'm considering getting rid of my myspace. I've closed my blog.
Very few people know about here so I think it's safe, but basically I'm trying to go underground.

And yes, you should close your myspace and just use your facebook (you have one set up, I've found it).

Nope. I don't want to be online. The people I want to know me have my phone number or my personal e-mail address.

Why retreating from the online world?

I signed onto another Facebook account today. There is just too much shit I have to post in sports groups, martial arts, and message board going ons that I don't want to bother the other people on my friends list until they put me on ignore. Hopefully, this will alleviate it somewhat since they will now only see half the messages. So I thought, may as well add some friends on forums. I also joined the WF group.

I do, and use it frequently. I'm a good Facebook friend, I don't post hundreds of times a day, and the only Facebook app I actually enjoy occasionally is Family Feud.

And I don't give two shits who knows about me or finds me on Facebook. I have MySpace, but I never use it.

This was an old thread you resurrected. There are a lot of us on FB now. I think I have at least 20 WFers as friends on there now.

My "troll safe" account on Facebook is Speck Santoku.

Man, it's funny as hell trying to figure out who is who on the Facebook group list. I've figured out about 5 which were obvious or I already knew your real name, but... it's a trip.

I bide my time with the ones who i can't identify unless they tell me who they are or I already knew their name

(plus I'm behind on a couple I have figured out like Chuck)

Put my usual Facebok policy goes like this - not everyone wants to "condone" people like me by association, so I tend to let others add me rather than "imposing" upon them to accept me or fear giving insult.

So I'm kind of in the habit of just letting new friends initiate the connection in most cases.

Facebook has become a meeting place for 50 year old stay-at-home moms talking about parenting and household chores. Boring. I maintain a profile for professional reasons and that's it, not a place I go to socialize.

The only thing I know is he's on WF, cause he's friends with the other few WFers I have as friends.
