We've had quite a number of characters over the years. Some good, some bad, and some just wearing out their welcome, or just been driven off. Who do you remember most who is no longer here? For myself:

Storm - you can still follow him on Twitter and Facebook. I miss his humor and the way he defended libertarian principles. We still have many here who took off where he left off, but it was always nice to see his posts.

Jeriko - I have no idea what happened to this fellow, and all my attempts to get in touch have failed. Before Sokar made the lefties shit and piss in their pants consistently, Jeriko pioneered it. He had a cousin who was a porn star, and I've tried contacting her to find out about him, but she keeps ignoring my advances on MySpace.

Cassandra - I miss her and her zany ways the most. She had all levels of crazy, and was always an interesting read. She made some great contributions to the other rooms, and was a very reasonable and thoughtful poster when politics wasn't involved.

Eccentric - this guy was part of the atmosphere for a long time, but I really don't miss him much. He got ran off when Meka spurned his advances and then embarrassing pictures of him showed up on Troll Kingdom was something he just could not live down. If that happened to me, I'd have said fuck it, it's just the internet, and continued blessing y'all's miserable existence with my mere presence, but I guess his skin was not thick enough. If not for that incident, I doubt Eccentric would've made this list.

    Techman :(

I know I'm forgetting a few people, so I'll just leave it here for now and let others tell their most memorable Wordforgers.

I dunno. A lot of the posters I like are still around. Though, Tex was good with humor, used to get a kick out of some of his posts.

I never minded Ted that much, but everyone else seemed to rag the fuck out of him. From what I had heard, I wasn't around for some interesting bits of information regarding his personal life. He always seemed like a nice enough guy.

Can't really think of many I actually miss. I can think of at least one that I don't miss at all. Herpetologist. Unless he's under a new name that I'm not aware of.

    Let's see:

-Gul: when he wasn't sucking on Eccentric's dick, he had a lot of good things to say regarding how the board should be run. I also learned a lesson from him--not everyone that passionately argues against popular ideas is a troll.

-Linda R: a pretty civil poster, and one I still respect for her classiness, her departure from WF aside.

-MoulinRouge: she and I were buddies in the Enterprise fandom, and shared a lot of the same political views, hence why I invited her here. I'll grant that she gives as good as she got in a debate.

-Ecc: easily the embodiment of everything that TK says this place is--hypocritical and cliquish, and always on the popular side of an argument. He had no problem throwing private info in one's face, but don't dare mention his precious drugs! :dayton: I'm not surprised that he ran away with his tail tucked between his legs when the shit hit the fan.

-Mrs. A for being fukkin awesome (what happened, UA? )

-Stewey, whose ban from TBBS led me here.

That's pretty much everyone I can think of right now.

    Oh, lots of folks.

IIRC, Jeriko is actually still around... just under a different name. :chris:

Eccentric can go piss up a rope. Or shit and fall back in it.

    It's optional.

Despite persistent rumors to the contrary, Caedus is NOT Jeriko.

Because I remember things like ISP's and where people are from and how old they are. -J and Caedus's board life stories', such as I know them, simply don't match up. To get any more specific, I think I'd have to violate Blue Room rules.

I think Caedus got brought in around the third or fourth season to replace Jeriko. They tried to do some sort of lame story about a car accident and plastic surgery or something to cover the switch--which was better than when they replaced Storm with Jeff Cooper Disciple. When they did that they just pretended we wouldn't notice. :?:

I don't know where all of this crazy Jeriko talk is coming from but I was on the board under a different name before moving all around the country to try to flee my cheating, thieving whore of an ex.

The best duals are very thorough. If -J were among us now under a different SN I'd think that his current persona would be very different than the one that we all knew and loved.

We lost Jeriko, but I like to think he combusted and spawned Caedus and Sokar.

Kinda like how Soundwave ejects out Ravage and Laserbeak.

    I really miss Cassandra.
But Sokar ? He was just fucking pathetic. I'd read his posts and instead of being afraid (because I'm a liberal), I'd just think "you are the type of person whose head could be rented out for the National Hot Air Balloon Races."

Caedus can't be Jeriko. He's not even close to being 1/10th as funny as Jeriko.

And I don't believe someone could change their personality that much that we'd get a totally different person. Funny will be funny regardless of the dual. Caedus is ok but he's not Jeriko funny.

    Miss him.

    Glads she's dea....err gone.....

Arrogant bitch who thought she was better then everyone. Arrogant mod (one of the worst). I for one am glad that letting Hood back in made her run. I hope the UK's finanical situation leaves her homeless and begging chavs for a bit of a drink.

    Yeah I'm a bastard. :finger:

If Jeriko was here there's no way he could have gone this long as a dual without surfacing and:

    • giving Obama both barrels
    • putting the boot into Cass
    • mentioning lesbians or manga
    • taking pleasure from the death of towlies or Democrats or towlie Democrats
    • posting the image of the KKK aeroplane he and Storm used to use
    • eating a pizza that had just been on the floor/in the trash/that the cat had just regurgitated

It gets better - her vote for the Liberal Democrats/Greens/Hizb ut-Tahrir undoubtedly helped elect our evil, cutting, fat-cat, baby eating Tory led coalition.

Have that if you're lurking, ya ginger cunt. :smooch:

I miss Gul a bit as well, he's the only WF'er I met outside those I actually know (We kicked back bunches of beer in DC one day just shooting the shit). Of course all that was back during one of the weird political upheavals and I think he was bored in general anyway - he tried to stir things up a bit; failed, and then went off to real life - kids, a nice wife (who made sure to get pictures of my license plate in case I absconded with him), and a job change probably put this place on ice and he is probably doing much more interesting things with his time.

Cass I'll miss that little 16 year old fella. ;) (Really, I think she was just about who she said she was - more or a little less - but its funny how much criticism she brought). She did think she was above the law, but really its the internets and ultimately she's not here because she isn't popular with the current PTB. The board did lose some of its life when she left.

Storm - got bored and left, can't really blame him as he was way more intelligent than his yes-monkies, but also no doubt gets enough debate in his home court.

Jeriko - one of the best in terms of sheer comedy. Was fun watching him wind lefties up.

Dendroica - If only to serve as a foil to J&S; likely pecked to death by birds on some abandoned trail in Central Park.

I've said over and over and over again that I'm not Jeriko. Saying that my current name here uses a different ISP/is from a different area in the country than my last one and thinking that if Jeriko were back as a dual he'd be quite a bit different than he was before he left (because where's the fun in whipping up a dual if it can be easily outed?) doesn't equal me saying that I'm him.
